I wouldn't have protected Uberstine. I don't think he'd do very well if called up. Maybe his stuff plays up in a bullpen role, but he's still slated to be a starter for now. 

Drohan just can't stay healthy. Whatever they get out of that guy is a bonus at this point. 

Uberstine is definitely a bullpen arm. I read that Cora really likes Kelly in the bullpen

If he's "definitely a bullpen arm" he should be pitching out of the pen in AAA rather than projecting to start IMO.

Where's Kimmi on this?  She usually lives for ST pictures. 

I wonder what you need to do to become a catcher for these guys warming up?  20 pitchers, so you need 20 catchers, right?  As long as they throw nothing but fastballs, there is a chance I won't get too badly hurt.

These ST pictures make me happy.  😊  As do the mid 50s temps we've had the past 2 days.  We're getting close!

I am positive that I would injure myself trying to catch a major league pitcher, even if they threw nothing but fastballs.

That's what it was when I got up to walk the dogs at 5:15 this AM. A little chilly TBH. 10 day forecast says it won't be that cold again.

Feel like its at least warmer than over the weekend where it was like low single digits at night and up to negative teens with windchill (at least here in providence)

So would I and Ive played catcher, albeit with pitchers throwing significantly slower and mostly lacking any sort of breaking pitch.

But I think almost anyone capable of making an MLB roster has the ability to catch fastballs as long as they’re not in the dirt…

Despite some of the players looking like they're not in the best physical shape, baseball players are incredible athletes.  I am regularly impressed by the plays they pull off.

I think they will try to deal Sandoval so that they get back under the 2nd threshold. If he's looking good in ST, someone will want him.

I think the Sox might want to make sure they have 5 good starters healthy and ready to go when the season starts first.  They’ve dealt away a significant amount of starter depth already…
