Texas has tied up the Mets. They win and they’re just two behind the FLOPS

All these teams are taking care of business.

2011 w/o the chicken?

Nah.  The results could end up similar, but 2011 was a complete collapse by a decent pitching staff.  There was more than enough offense that year.

The pitching this month for the most part has been okay.  Not as good as it was a month ago, but okay. Most of the time, it’s given the team a chance.  Hitting has been the issue this month and realistically, all year.

Duran making a game of it. Sox should probably keep Duran. He's more productive than Abreu and much less fragile. Let Abreu get injured on another team.

I’m starting to come around to that position.

Can't be angry with Chappy. W/O him this season the Sox would be fighting for last place.

Agree.  Nobody could have kept up the success he was having.

Rangers now lead the Mets.

After our loss and our loss tomorrow we could be just one up on them.

The annual choke is in full swing. It’s what the Flops do.

Pitiful at home as well.

Those days are long over. Bob Gibson couldn't operate under these newer conditions.

He’d already uncorked a couple wild pitches.  Ump couldn’t have said anything.😀

We needed Bello to step it up.

The 10 hits was a nice sign for the offense, but two solo homers didn't help like they could have with men on.

Kinda like a broken record.

Now, it's up to Crochet to stop the bleeding. Glad it's him, tomorrow.

Crochet is tired. Too many innings pitched. Get the brooms out. Texas will pass us by the end of the week.

Sox are 4th in team ERA and 6th in team batting average in MLB.

Yankees are 13th in team batting average and 16th in team ERA

Something is very wrong.

Time for managerial change.

Time to flush the whole franchise down the hopper. Of the four major Boston franchises the FLOPS are by far the worst. Tear it down. Start over. Henry must sell..

Batting average? Really?

Yankees lead the majors in runs scored  (770) and homers 252) by wide margins. That’s how they win games.

Actually, run differential should be the closest indicator of wins vs losses, and once again, the Yanks show why they are ahead of us, but we should be ahead of TOR and DET.

+131 NYY

+102 BOS

+97 TEX

+93 DET

+77 TOR

+50 TBR

+40 SEA

+21 HOU
