Nick hates Yoshida and Fred hates Rafaela. That leaves 26 Sox players for the rest of us to choose from. Choose wisely.

I have better case than Fred.....one plays defense at least.

Chapman allowed a batter to reach first. I'd  have him DFA'd by morning.

He did that to get his strike out count higher.

Hamilton Cedanne Wong and Yoshida = futility offensively   I’d rather see Gonzalez, Campbell or Grissom, Narvaraez and Password.  Cora is literally guaranteeing a loss with those four in consecutive order.

The bottom of the order carried us.

1st out of playoff race is Texas, 5 games back of the Sox.

Texas hosts Brewers next, Hopefully the Brewers will slow down the Texans. Then they travel to Mets and Houston..

What a revoltin' development this is.

I felt exactly the same way after 6.  Good thing there were 3 more innings to play.

My daily rag on Yoshida. Worthless.

Can Password do any worse than this Japanese loser?

i with ya'. and to make matters worse, Cora bats him leadoff. just unreal.

He makes a lot of money and he’s on the roster. No one will take him. So he’s playing even though he stinks. At least he has SOME recognition of the strike zone.

bottom 4:

4 for 14 with 2 BB.

4 runs scored

3 RBI

Good to see Story step up big, too.

i was curious as to how many times a pitcher has struck out 4 batters in one inning (nobody has ever struck out 5) . Chapman's was the 100th time in MLB history.

It’s an interesting list of Hall of Famers, never weres and everything in between.

Kimbrel and Wakefield did it for the Sox.  Matz did it with the Cardinals earlier this year.

Kimbrel did it twice over his career as did Zack Greinke, AJ Burnett and Tyler Glasgow.

Chuck Finley did it 3 times, including twice in one season.

You mean the end of the bench: Sogard and Narvaez delivered pinch-hits that drove in the guys that scored the winning runs -- late-game replacements Romy and Eaton.

Someone is probably already typing Cora the idiot got so lucky he was forced to use players provided by that genius Breslow.

Bailey better mix a magic potion that will work on someone else in the bullpen, or the 7th inning may be the death of us all for the next 18 games...

Not difficult when you are 5' tall.

You can be an idiot and a genius at the same time on this board.
