Baseball, football, or tennis today?

The only way I'd watch tennis would require a Clockwork Orange type of eye opener instrument hooked up to me while being tied to a chair.

It's a stretch to call the Sox games a baseball game lately.

Again, our lackadaisical approach at the trade deadline cost us again.

When will we learn?

The last report I heard was that we waited TOO LONG TO APPROACH THE TWINS. They were no longer interested in moving Joe Ryan. The pieces involved were not far apart.

Just get the damn deals done Bres. Have balls, cover all weaknesses.

I would be surprised if we make the playoffs. Every starter is out of gas. Bregman can't carry this team alone.

Love seeing Yoshida batting lead off. Maybe he can pitch too.

If he can pitch, we could call him Ohtiny.

Nelson has a 3.57ERA and a 1.05WHIP. Unlike the previous two Arizona starters he has good numbers.

If he just throws the ball overhand, he'll be tough for the Sox inoffensive offense.

Again, there goes the BS argument of our schedule getting softer....yeah right. Like someone already said, it's always about WHEN YOU PLAY THEM.

The Boston Offenders are 3-16 when they score one run this season.

Winning nearly 16% of the games when you only score one run is a testament to your elite pitching.

But when the BooSox score zero runs, they are winless: 0-4.

Where was the Sox pitching during those 4 games.?

My math tells me the Sox have played 23 games where the offence has scored 1 or less runs. That's 2 games more than when they score 10 or more runs.

I guess calling the Sox offense inconsistent is the nicest thing one can say.

Actually, mostly missing; the scores were 6-0, 9-0. 8-0 and 5-0.  Three of those were on the road and the staff only pitched 8 innings.

I was being mostly sarcastic. When a team scores zero runs, it's really unimportant how many the other team scores. But thanks for the info anyway.

I must be one of the nicest guys in Red Sox Nation.

Now to preempt any poster researching team stats right now to show how impotent every powerhouse is whose home isn't a pack-and-play in the South Bronx:

The Red Sox are the team that eye watch every game, and the only one that eye care about eying.

Why the hell was the infield in? It's the second inning -- does the coaching staff think it's going to be a 1-0 game?

Oh, sorry -- forgot: the Red Sox can't score any more, so they have to treat all baserunners like ghost runners.

OB just said the Red Sox are out of sink right now.

I replied, good -- then they can't go down the drain.

Toilets have drains too
