0 earned? lol 3 of the 4 were earned and that 5th one was absolutely earned

He went straight south after the 4th.  Ugly pitching in the 5th, then followed by solid hitting in the 5th and 6th.

Why is May still in? Waiving the white flag?

I think so.  The hitting stinks, and the bullpen has been worked hard because of no off days recently.

Are you unaware Cora had to use 5 relievers last night?

Beuhler or May? There's a Sophie's Choice for you.

We do have a few names on our roster that are such glaring holes that it's easy to wonder why they are here, and even more so, why are they playing so much,

Two of them threw 7 pitches or less and one is Jordan Hicks.

He's an innings eater.

Nope (of course).  The bullpen is overworked and the hitting stinks.

He misused the pen though.

Hopefully this serves to prove for once and for all May is not a starter. He could be a decent RP though.

Don't forget the warmups.  One of them is out there right now giving up hits and walks.

One more time.  Cora stuck with May because he knew this game was unwinnable.  The hitting stinks and the bullpen is struggling.

Whata way to defend Cora. Your conjectures are comical at best.

Don't give that me 20-20 hindsight stuff.   Weissert killed us last night but he was the right guy to send out.

And, oh, by the way, the Sox scored 2 stinking runs, one of them unearned. Today they also have 2 runs,.

Another s*** performance from May. I still can’t believe they traded actual prospects for this bum DFA fodder

A stab in the dark.

He's not yet the worst we tried:

8.04 Houck 9 GS (1.695 WHIP)

5.40 Buehler 22 (1.564)

5.01 May 5 (1.550 before today- other numbers count today)

4.83 Fitts 10 (1.317)

4.43 Newcomb 5 (1.925 WHIP)

That's 51 GS, and some say our bats are our weakest area.

My bad. I did ask for a double digit run game. But I'm pretty sure I was referring to the Sox. The baseball gods must have misunderstood.

Theres no way he’s waving the white flag with a 4-2 Deficit in the 6th at home against the Pirates.  He left him in too long.  I’ve watched May 5 times now and he cannot handle adversity.  He melts out there almost instantly.  Cora has to have a plan going into a May start. He’s not nor has he been reliable. Dodgers would have given up May for a root canal he was that bad

Expectations are our weakest area.
