This is SPLENDIDSPLINTER. I'm having a ton of problems with this forum. Any way to contact whomever put this thing together?

There seems to be more mods and admins here than not.
I think Brock Beauchamp (or something like that) bought the the forum.

This offense looks so bland with Campbell on the bench!

Fitts needs to challenge the hitters. He is up 0-2 on hitters, one he walks and the other gets a hit on 3-2 count.

Just because you are up 0-2 doesn't mean you screw around and get to a 3-2 count. Game over.

I despise nibblers. If you're too much of a whimp to challenge the hitter, go find another job.

I understand the feelings, here, but most great pitchers get batters to swing at balls out of the K zone or in the K zone, but not that batter's favorite areas. Or, they get them to guess the wrong pitch type or location.

I'm not sure Fitts has "the stuff" to challenge the best hitters by just throwing strikes.

Fitts doesn't generate a lot of in zone whiffs so he relies on hitters chasing out of the zone. That's why patient hitters can get him nibbling an 0-2 count to a 3-2 count.

Maddux nibbled so much that he could barely get out of the 7th inning most time! Give me a real man like Rube Waddell who would only leave a game early if a firetruck ran by or if he had to go out fishing.

You are right. Just frustrated. He was so close to being so good.
