story has performed pretty poorly for almost all of his tenure in beantowne when he has actually made it onto the field.

Well it made a difference when referring to the “small rough patch” he was going thru at the time.  I didn’t know back then it was going to last at least an additional 4 more weeks…

He's hit .229 with a .667 OPS during his time with the sox when he has managed to actually get on the field.

Fire Alex Cora and to offset the cost, make Trevor Story the first player-manager since Pete Rose (first Red Sox since Lou Boudreau).

Wouldn't it make more sense for devers to be the player/manager since he seems to be calling the shots anyway......

I mean, we got a stiff playing SS right now.  I'd rather have a stiff at 3B than a stiff at SS.
