We have a lot of great prospects in the oven. Unfortunately none of them are pitchers. Without a nearly totally revamped pitching staff we’re going to suck just like this for years

Sorry but have to go on record as saying I am not a fan of Zack Kelly.  I do not care about his stats .  His appearance/  demeanor is one of a loser

Kelly is a fungible reliever who will pitch out of a tough jam one inning and get pummeled around the ballpark by the bottom of the lineup the next.  He’s the most extreme form of volatile.

Booser needs to go.  If Cora still has any faith in him, then maybe Cora should follow.  Booser stopped being useful in late July…

But he fits right in!

He will be an integral part of the 2025 team , but needs to hit .250/.725 with some doubles/HRs to keep his position under control.

If Grissom flops at 2B, then the musical chairs will begin.  If Story doesn't hit, he could get moved over to 2B

Why would their Sox move the best defensive SS above A-ball to 2b due to some underperforming offense?

(He might even be better than the A-ball crew; I just don’t know any of them very well.)

This game is a microcosm of the season. The bullpen has blown so many games its pathetic. Breslow was a reliever most of his career and he can't build a decent bullpen? Fire his ass!

They'll probably fire Bailey because he couldn't polish shite.

Bullpen is misleading; Pigpen is more accurate.

It might help if Cora didn’t keep using the same bad pitchers in key situations despite them never succeeding…

What choice does he have. Outside of Slaten and Jansen, they all suck. And Slaten is borderline.

Maybe to not go to a guy who let all 4 batters he faced reach base just last night when he had two fresh relievers in the pen.  Or - facing Soto and Judge with the game on the line in the 7th.  And those two up constitutes “game on the line” in that case.  So why not Jansen? Saving him so he can face the 7-8-9 hitters on the ninth?  That’s a solid use of your best reliever…

He hasn't been near as good as last year.

But he has been better than Kelly, Booser and Bernardino, which is important some times…

This post also didn’t explain why Jansen and Slaten were unavailable…

Trade them all to Atlanta for Sale

As soon as Sale returned to Boston he would injure his arm in ST.

Because, ya see, the SOX are more of a rehabilitation center, than an actual baseball team.

I called Cora about this question, but he no longer takes my calls. Maybe he's resting Martin for the PO's.

But no one Feels as Good as the Feel Good Red Sox! The third richest franchise in baseball LOVES to hire castoffs who miss entire Covid seasons, and 30-year old construction workers, short-order cooks and Uber drivers.

Boston tops the industry in providing equal-opportunities for career minor leaguers toiling for minimum wage... (provided they also play in the majors for minimum). The Sox will even let them pitch to MVP superstars making FORTY MILLION DOLLARS a year!

As long as they don't underachieve.
