the game is 1-1 but watching Bello pitch and Kirby pitch looks like a notable difference. Bello gave up the lead on a 2 out 3-2 walk ( Ump could have given him a cookie) , then a soft single to left. But K's the 3rd out to shutdown the inning, unlike last night.

He has done very well for two months.

.271 5 21 in 36 games started since May 31st.

.362 OBP is one of the best on the team since then

.481 SLG is decent.

.843 is what we were getting from Casas.

 

I'm glad we did not just "settle" on Cooper.
