I’ve given articles, so why don’t you go read them like the Boston Herald on 10-20-2023?

It’s a subscription site. Maybe he doesn’t have one…

Sorry Red, this is a misunderstanding. I agree with your take on the CBO search. It made Sham's big talk look foolish. I wasn't questioning the number 10. mvp was asking for names, and those were the 4 I could think of.

Sam said Boston would be the place where everyone would want to be. How accurate was that?

You fool! You bought in last year with your 84 wins prediction, and you bought in this year with full throttle. You were all excited with the Red Sox meeting with the Yam Man like they had a snowballs chance in hell of landing him either paying the price, or outbidding the others.

I was off by 6 wins. That's buying in?

I've got 4:

Click

Gomes

Ng

Internal candidate-can't remember which one

Internal candidate was Raquel (team mom) that said no for family reasons.

If he was following along he would have already known the names. There was a running count at the time. Like I’ve asked of all things why question this?

Seems like you don't really know the names? If there's 10+, I'm sure you could have come up with a longer list than Bellhorn's.

No I can’t list all the names outside of Hazen, and Fuld added to the list. All I know there was a running count at the time, and the last I knew it got above 10. Why question the count?

To get there and lose!

I think at this point most Red Sox fans would take 84 wins, or even less if it meant getting into the postseason, and take their chances from there.

Longing for 84 wins! That is truly the sign if not the definition of mediocrity. Looks like the FO has sold their new product.

The FO hasn’t sold anything to anyone, but 84 wins is better than 78 wins, and a trip to the postseason is better than not getting there at all.

ownership thinks that the "Fenway experience" will continue to put rumps in the seats. It's not about the product on the field anymore. hey hopefully a whole new generation of first and last time fans go to enjoy the antique experience for at least a day if they can afford it.

Werner must have forgotten about all the empty seats at Fenway for that meaningless Yankee Series in September-right before they fired Bloom.

Dude has a really short memory all of a sudden.

Werner is at home watching on tv. He probably had the Cosby Show on a second screen and was distracted.

f*** Bauer and anyone who wants him on the team.

Well you can f*** off right back. Dude was proven innocent in a court of law.

It shouldn't be. Dude's gonna get paid to throw a baseball. How he wants to f*** is his deal. What he thinks of climate change is his deal. We just need him to get guys out.

as a matter of law, you cannot be proven 'innnocent'. Charges were dropped. I don't care what he does in the sack with a hooker; as a sports fan, I'm more concerned with crap like throwing the ball into the stands as Tito is coming out for it.

Bauer does seem like a hot potato, but we are getting to the point, where we have to shoot in the dark and hope for someone to "regain" or "retool." I'm sick of doing that. Richards, Kluber and now, to some extent, even Giolito.

I realize bauer is sort of the same thing, but at least it's not about his arm or abilities as a pitcher.

If we don't get Monty or even Clevinger, Bauer would be my 2nd or 3rd pick out of what is left.

All good points, as "innocent until proven guilty" is indeed the American doctrine, but it's not the same here, especially with domestic/gender violence issues. Here you get thrown in the slammer and you have to be proven innocent, so touche.

On a side note, being weary of the other crap is fair, but Bauer's not an idiot, and he knows that if he signs with a team, he'll be walking on thin ice, and certain provisions could be included in his contract.

He will likely get a 1 year deal, which could be something enticing to Sox brass.

He doesn’t watch or go to games at all. “Why would I waste my time? That team isn’t any good. I’m too busy living my life full throttle.”

He’s not an idiot, but he is an *******. And he’d be the first to admit it. Might be nice if he did so with less pride for once…

Everyone should stop talking about Bauer period. It's too political.

We should stop talking about Bauer because one thing we do know about him is he does not sell himself for low money, and no one knows if his second chance has changed this.

The Sox right now are claiming they cannot afford Mike Clevinger. Not sure Bauer is even in any realistic discussion…

He did apologize publicly......
