More accurately, biggest series/test.

Game one is the big one, and it's Pivetta's second start.

Sure, winning the series is more important, but let's get these guys off their stride.

Any early word on Duvall? Obviously out for this series. I just read Bobby D is on his way to Florida. Edited by guinness22

No word yet. Very ominous. I just hope he's back this season. Anything better than that would be a bonus.

Thanks Bell/Moon. Ya…this is his surgically repaired wrist. I genuinely fear it could be another season ender for him.

Fair enough. One game at a time.

Tampa has some great stats--pitching and hitting--to go with the 9-0 record, but they have played Washington, Detroit, and Oakland. Spotrac says the four lowest team payrolls in MLB belong to the Pirates, Rays, Orioles, and, at the bottom, the A's.

Sox payroll has dropped to 14th and Detroit's is 19th.

Here's another stunner. Of the Rays 9 straight wins, 6 have been at the Trop, where so far the averaged attendance--to watch the red hottest team in all of MLB--has been 17,945, ranked 26th. It should be 27th, but Toronto hasn't played a home game yet.

Sox home attendance, also six games, is 17th--29,114.

Used to be, "no news is good news," but not on something like this. Jarren Duran is reportedly on his way to or already in Tampa.

Whoops. I wrote before reading moonslav's report.

My guess on the x-ray report is that the Sox are deliberately withholding it.

Word is Dalbec was sent to TB, so it looks like an IL stint, minimum.

I'm not sure why waiting for X-Ray results takes hours.

Possibly they need swelling to go down to see what the actual injury is. Maybe an MRI is required. Might want multiple opinions.

This is where Jackson should weigh in.

Ya I agree. I think they are too. Kike back to CF and Dalbec at SS?

I might rather see Chang at SS or Arroyo at SS and Dalbec at 2B than Bobby Dee at SS.

What a mess!

As of 12:38 according to Abrahm Duvall was meeting with the Doctors.

Duvall is on the IL, but still nothing more than that. In Boston for more test.

Dalbec called up because he represents the system's closest thing to MLB righty power bat.

So far this month, Dalbec has 10 Ks in 28 at bats -- in the minors.

Red Sox center fielder Adam Duvall has been diagnosed with a distal radius fracture in his left wrist, manager Alex Cora announced to reporters Monday (Twitter link via Ian Browne of MLB.com). He’ll be placed on the 10-day injured list for now, with the expectation that he’ll miss several weeks of action. The team does not yet have an exact timetable for his expected recovery. Infielder Bobby Dalbec is up from Triple-A Worcester in place of Duvall, and utilityman Rob Refsnyder is slated to start tonight’s game in center field.

It has not been determined if surgery is required. W/O surgery he would be out around 6 weeks. With surgery he would miss the entire season.

Thanks. Based on the talksox commentary, I believe the Sox when they say they don't have an exact timetable for recovery. Tough break.
