I don’t have to grasp it, because I already know it’s not happening. Like I said earlier some just like to throw things against a wall, and hoping by chance something will stick, and part of a baseball discussion is having differing opinions. All grasped, and implemented. Time to get into Celtics mode.

I don't think there is much to worry about with the Celtics. They are clearly the best team in the NBA. It's just a matter of making room for another banner.

No one ever said it would. You cannot seem to grasp that…

It's not worth the effort.

You two keep on trying to make a distinction between a suggestion, or a prediction, but in the big scheme of things NEITHER one happens, so if it makes you feel better call it what you like, and then watch it NOT HAPPEN.🤭🙈🤮

True, but if the suggestion is totally unrealistic, the suggester must take the heat for it...

But there is unrealistic and unlikely.

Suggesting the Sox swap Meidroth, Wong, Yorke, Dalbec and Rosier for Spencer Strider is unrealistic because it’s fatally stupid for Atlanta.

Trades that work out on BTV aren’t necessarily unrealistic as they are unlikely. There’s a difference…

A trade that has equal values on BTV would be realistic unless there's something obviously wrong about it, like a team that's a World Series contender and has plenty of money trading their best starter.

BTV trades are realistic in terms of player cost. They can’t account for team need or team interest.

Apparently many teams use similar logic and models on valuing players for trades. But sometimes, need trumps value…

Like the Bruins the Celtics sucked in game two last night. I’m not as convinced as you are that the Celtics will hang another banner this year. Anyway the Bruins will be the biggest show in town tonight, and the Garden should be rockin. Go Bruins!

Denny, Denny...a veteran Boston sports fan should know better than to count 'em too quick.

I was thinking that, before the loss, even.

Like what? A true honest suggestion or one clearly made in jest?

The former.

They should just trade Story and Yoshida for Tatis vs they should trade Anthony, Wikelman and Bello for Tatis.

No problem. Just one game. I still have no doubt about this prediction.

When is anything said in jest on here?🙈🤭. DFA, and sell, sell, sell!

Everything's for sale my friend. Everything. If I had a sister I'd sell her in a second.

If she's anything like MVP, you should expect to be paid.

I'd even buy one of your relatives, if you're looking to sell. Ha ha ha ha. That's a little joke.

I assure you, I'm prepared to make any deal.

I can tell you're a discriminating customer. Perhaps you're a wealthy one, too, hm?

I am also a liar. I don't even have the handlebars. No motorcycle parts at all.

So... free shipping!

Deal?

Raffy goes oppo for the game-winning hit. If Devers wanted to just focus on hitting the ball to the left side -- the area of the plate where every lefty specialist throws to him -- then he could become the best hitter in the league.

Hyperbole? According to baseball-reference data on Hit Location, Rafael Devers is a career .405 batter with a 1.135 OPS in Opp Fld-LHB.

This year Raffy is batting .600 -- 6-for-10 -- going the other way. So what if he doesn't hit 35 home runs; he already has his contract, and there are different ways to be a star and earn it.

Tris Casas, whose tender trunk would prefer he turns down the torque, should also take aim at the Green Monster: protect his abs, up his BA, drive in runs. Two southpaw swinging Miggy Cabreras on the Red Sox wouldn't be so bad...

Winckowski to Worcester.

Interesting move. With Campbell returning , Josh's propensity to put guys on base is catching up to him.

It also helps that the bullpen had no real obvious candidates for demotion. They’re all pitching well, out of options, or both…

Wink was improving his WHIP numbers and was at 1.26 over the past 2 weeks, which is better than Slaten and Kelly over that time.

Wink had a .699 OPS Against in the last 2 weeks. That is the league average.
