I believe Story is batting 5th because of LH starter, which makes sense.

Yes, but it makes sense vs RHPs, too.

Watching the White Sox broadcast.

Best line of the night from Jason Benetti “in this series the Red Sox have stranded more people than a discount cruise line”.

Story, JD and Devers have been hitting machines. Maybe it's time to move Story to clean-up.

Or … it’s not broken so don’t fix it…

The 5th slot is actually more important than the 4 slot.

Keep Story 5th, even v righties.

I believe he’s been hitting in the 6 slot more lately. I wouldn’t be surprised if his “promotion” to the fifth spot was more to push lefty-hitting Verdugo down.

I believe that is the reason, tonight, but I'd keep him there. He's better v RHPs than Verdugo and this whole L-R-L thing is over-rated. Who is afraid of LOOGIEs anymore?

Last season was the 2nd. Few years ago the 3rd. More years ago the 4th. And so... What's next? the 9th? lol

i contend that the #9 hitter should not be the weakest bat or lowest OBP, but should be considered a leadoff type with a decent chance to get on base in front of the 1-2-3-4 hitters. Hide you Dalbec type at #8

Wacha in deep need of a DP. His pitch count could be disappointing after this 3rd inning. Advice to Cora---do not let this 6-0 lead drift away
