58,000 posts since April 2016. You really do not have a life outside this board. No one wonder you get so worked up over the trivial. do you nerves a favor if I am so tiresome just put me on ignore. But you can"t because this board is your life, pathetic.

More personal insults. You're a pretty immature guy, when it comes down to it.

Just as you are entitled to continue being the most pompous poster on the board.

Oh Bell really. Take it from someone who of course has no bias (lol), that title to which you refer does seem to have a few other candidates. Just like in the political world, depends on the side of the aisle you favor.

I'm the most relaxed person on the planet. Don't pretend to know who I am.

Still waiting on just one name of the many who think the farm trumps rings.

Cricketts...

From you, I'll take that as a compliment.

BTW calling me pompous was not an insult "eh" OH how un Canadian of you.

Target! Plus I'm not a big Vazquez fan. Plus, when Vazquez was on the team, the Sox had a better record in games when he didn't play than in the games in which he did. Since he left, the Sox have taken 2 of 3 from the Astros, and 1 of 2 from the Royals.

Now the Sox are 3-4 since Vaz left, so is he still the problem that your flimsy excuse tried to make it? Priceless!

I am no longer agnostic about Bloom. He is a freaking disaster. The team was two games from the World Series last year. He deconstructed a contending team. If he continues making 4 nickles for every quarter trades the Boston Red Sox will become laughing stock of the American League if they aren't already.

Cora has lost this team. They are demoralized and pathetic.

The closet Bloom-basher comes out.

I remember when someone made the statement early in the season that we got Bloom, and we got Cora, which to me meant we have a competitive advantage over everyone else. How has that worked out? Cora started the KC series off with bringing D Hern into a tied game in the 7th inning. How many thought that was a smart managerial decision? I’m not saying Cora is dumb, so don’t go there, but that was a dumb managerial decision, and the rest of the weekend went down hill from there. I’m surprised they got 1 win. The team came out of the gate lifeless, and listless, and now I believe everyone has quit. Heads should roll from the top of Bloom, and Cora down to the players. Saying they are an embarrassment is to kind, and you don’t need anything more than the eye test to tell you that. Bloom had the Gaul to have a team meeting after Vaz was traded. Do you think that made matters better, or worse? Analytics aren’t going to help with that, but the good old eye test will for those who want to look.

Well said. No one can persuade me that there isn't something fundamentally wrong with Boston's entire approach towards pitching.

I have always said there is no motivation or morale in the club house, this year is shot, the only chance for next year is a full overhaul, an enthusiastic baseball mind for GM and possibly a real die hard team man like Varitek, worth a shot

I think they have underachieved this season despite some crappy play. They’re not this terrible.

do we have some good players? yes we do but morale and cohesiveness in any sport is important to rally the troops, two seasons now with no help for the team in mid season trading deadline and players have voiced their lack of support by management who is not getting the job done, can not go on like this

Is Bogey the best MLB SS?

Could replacing him with TTurner, Correo or even Story be devastating to our chances at winning a ring?

Could he not sign Bogey but go with Swanson and Judge and still have a winner?

This whole B ogey or bust argument is beyond lame.

Now, if you argue Betts or Devers, you'll have a better point, IMO, but even they can be replaced, in kind, assuming Henry continues spending as is.

If Bill Gates or Elon Musk bought the SOX, well, I think you know where I'm going with this.

A DD type GM would definitely occupy the FO.

And then 3 or 4 good years followed by exactly where we are now.

Posted
Maybe, but I'd guess Gates or Musk would continue with the big spending. Each of them makes JH seem like a pauper.

Which one of them got super duper rich dumping millions on top of millions to clean up the messes created the previous years?

We are not here now just because of DD. If Bloom knew what he was doing it shouldn’t have been this bad. He has made things worse.

LOL. That's how John Henry got rich, buying the Red Sox and Liverpool. In both cases he bought undervalued franchises run by incompetents, spent millions turned them around and now has a 10 billion dollar sports empire.

MLB is big business , not a fantasy league. And it gets more expensive all the time. You have to spend what it takes to put a really good team on the field . Of course it is possible to do it economically, but that is very difficult. The three highest payrolls this year belong to the Dodgers , Mets and Yankees . And the results are evident on the field. They are the best teams.

Blaming D.D. for the current state of the Red Sox is well past it's expiration date. Throw it out.

I say again. Who is going to win a World Series first Bloom or Dombrowski..Who will be fired first? It will be illuminating to see.
