Blaming D.D. for the current state of the Red Sox is well past it's expiration date. Throw it out.

Blaming DD is part of the party line of the Pro Bloom crowd. Even though Bloom has had 3 years to work on things like expiring contracts, and the Bogey, and Raffy contract situations, which he botched, before the season even started.

After they way he f...ed up the trade deadline and Vaz trade, I suspect he is going to have a harder time convincing Bogey and Rafey to hang around for more Bloomball.

We just lost to the Royals, a team 20 games under .500 by a score of 13-7.

And our starting CF is a career minor league 2nd baseman who is JUST starting to learn how to play CF. OOF. The blame has to go on Bloom for stockingpiling such a pathetic group of outfielders that we're forced to play a natural 2B in center field, the most important defensive outfield position.

No true center fielder added at the deadline. No bullpen help added at the deadline. And subtracted our starting catcher Vazquez to replace with a catcher known only for his public WANKING!

The emperor, Chaim Bloom, has no clothes. Just nobody is willing to admit it yet.

Duran is awful in CF, but he wasn’t a 2b in the minors. On draft day in 2018, he was announced as an outfielder. Outside of 20 games in low A ball Lowell, he’s been an outfielder.

He’s had 5 seasons to become a good outfielder and apparently shown very little progress. But his being in CF started long before Bloom was hired…

Duran performance in centerfield to date is the worst have seen in over 60 years watching MLB. The fact that he is been playing that position for 5 years is very disturbing.

If Bill Gates or Elon Musk bought the SOX, well, I think you know where I'm going with this.

Gates and Musk certainly are at the top but I would be very curious to know what JH's worth is. He is a multi billionaire. what I have seen so far, really does make me wonder if a winning red sox team is much of a high priority. Has anyone heard anything from him? It is also good to see a few others here as sick as I am every time DD's is brought up as being a primary problem for Bloom. You man up and take responsibility. Move on...

He can run fast, and that’s it.

Can’t handle it? Does it violate the Dombrowski Appreciation Society to acknowledge it?

Some of us (ok probably just me) started talking about this type of thing on the heels of the Kimbrel trade and Price signing. You can’t launch the payroll into the stratosphere while emptying the farm. Of course all you got out of it was that Logan Allen didn’t pan out.

If Dombrowski had nothing to do with this team, explain why soortrac has the payroll at $207mill with $103 coming from 5 contracts written Dombrowski that have produced 6.1 fWAR. A number that looks worse when you realize 4.2 fWAR come from one player…

You must clearly have forgotten about Dwayne Hosey. I don’t blame you if you did.

But I do put Duran in his company, and that’s not good company to be in…

DD did not empty the farm either, which is brought up often on here.

The Price signing was bad, but the Kimbrel, and Sale trades were good. Just not the Sale ext.

Cora made a point today of saying that duran is our centerfielder and is a part of what the team is trying to accomplish going forward.

He has to defend his players for sure but after the way duran played today and has been playing it has to be very tough to do.

No one blames Dombrowski for a s***** bullpen, but the contracts he signed players to were a factor in not keeping Betts. That should be obvious…

Hosey was short-lived but bad enough to make one flee the country. I spent a Duquette season or two that way myself…

Duran seems to have a big problem judging fly balls hit directly at him.

Don't forget who you are communicating with notin. I'm thinking that JH can afford whatever he wants to purchase. If you consider what he has purchased that should be obvious...

Not obvious at all. I don’t think JH wanted to shell out $300M+ regardless of what the payroll was, and it’s to be seen if he’s Willy for Raffy either.

It’s not like his bat is working that good either.

Now granted, those are the most difficult ones. But at some point he needs to figure something out…

Well, the Sox did offer Bets $300mill, so we do know he was willing to go that far. But Betts was dealt as the only option as an attempt to reset the limit, which they were over due to all those Dombrowski contracts.

As for Devers, I’m hoping the proliferation of these $250mill plus contracts changes Henry’s mind. Three years ago, it was just Trout…

I think Henry decided he was not going to spend the money to keep Betts regardless of the lux tax issue. I think the lux tax was a convenient excuse. I think at that point in time Henry decided to concentrate his efforts in other areas such as the European Super League which failed and then buying the Penguins. I believe he was conserving his financial resources for these other ventures, after all the Sox had won it all in 2018 and this bought him time to pursue these other opportunities.

The Sox did offer Mookie $300M that is true, but I think they had a pretty good idea that he wanted more, and wouldn’t accept it.
