ST games next Friday? Damn, I hope these guys have been working out. Otherwise, it's going to be a long spring for medical staff!

This year more than most any other, depth could be challenged by injuries.

Hang’em Chaim seems to realize that by signing three more pitchers to minor league deals.

Now he needs a couple more bullpen arms.

remember how Manny missed teh start of ST'ing by using "My grandmother died" like 7 times?

It takes a village.

Hitting, too.

At least Fitzgerald is hitting. I have not gotten to see cassas yet.

Ps: Bradley looking like Bradley and smelling really bad!

Anyone who has watched a ST game will agree that the runaway winner is the pitch clock!

OOPS. Did I speak too soon? Are they not using it yet? (I had assumed they were). In any case, the games I've seen are showing pitches generally about 12-15 secs. Is this just because young pitchers are used to clocks in the minors?

This isn't even a joke: a few summers ago I went to a Double A night game that ended before it got dark.

When we were kids (some of us!), didn't games start at 8PM? And, even as kids, we could stay up long enough to listen to them?

Games did start at 8PM, and twi DH would start at 5:30.it was the games on the West Coast that started at 11PM that were the killers. Of course games didn’t last as long back in those days.

Right. That's the point we were trying to make.

(They weren't uncommon in minor leagues not too long ago, right? Seems to me my brother and I went to one in Portland ... AAA then ... and it was great--like being kids again. And even with an hour drive, we got back at a reasonable hour.)

It's "only spring training," but it's better to look real good than bad.

We are just 2 weeks and 2 days away from opening up at NYY!

Play ball!

We have a serious number of players to evaluate, cut or keep. These next two weeks are going to be interesting!

Hang’em Chaim needs to make us proud!

We may not cut anyone, except maybe Davis, who is out of options, but I doubt it.

I think the 26 is pretty well set, except for who the 13th pitcher might be.

C: Vaz

1B: Dalbec

2B: Story

3B: Devers

SS: Bogey

LF: Verdugo

CF: Kike

RF: JBJ

DH: JD

Bench: Plawecki, Arroyo, Duran, Shaw

SP: Eovaldi, Pivetta, Houck, Wacha, Hill

RP: Whitlock, Barnes, Brasier, Diekman, Strahm, Sawamura, Davis

#26: DHern, Robles, Valdez, Holland

IL: Paxton (60 day), Sale, Taylor

Maybe someone beats out Shaw.

It’s 28 for the first month.

@SPChrisHatfield

Christian Arroyo scratched. Could be nothing but given his injury history, never a good sign.

Ahhh, yes. Then Shaw and Davis are in and add DHern and Arauz. Could Fitzy make it?

I'd take Fitzgerald over Arauz. Fitzgerald can play all over the field at a reasonable level. His bat is better too.
