Jeisson Rosario with a game-winning homer -- oops, he now bats clean-up for the Yankees' AA team that is 32 games over .500.

On a more relevant note (from an eye-witness): NY's AA closer, Carson Coleman, threw in the high-90s and was absolutely lights out. Does New York have any other Ottavino contracts Bloom can take back, if they throw in Coleman?

I liked the Rosario outlook, when we got him.

If you take Aaron Hicks, there’s probably no limit to what they’ll give you…

At Portland we have a monumental accomplishment………. I can not remember the last time this has happened last in Red Sox minor league history ……… but Kavadas got his 100th walk of the season today.

The Red Sox have a guy, who is a single season, rose 3 levels, got 25 taters and 100 walks. Absolutely amazing!!

And yet, if I had to vote for Red Sox minor league player of the year, he would lose to Rafeala and rafeala’s amazing 20 taters and 20 steal season, as well as quite a few spectacular defensive plays!

Kavadas has done amazing things. I'm not sure when the Sox system had so a player with 100+ BBs.

What else is amazing is how we have 3 of the top 6 minor league players leaders in BBs, this season:

107 Wilyer Abreu

105 Jon Singleton

105 Justin Farmer

103 Ausyin Gauthier

99 Niko Kavadas

96 Max Ferguson

Rafaela went 2-5 w SB.

Hamilton with 65 stolen bases this season thus far!

At Worcester, Mieses with his 9th tater of the season.

Winkowski gave up 7 runs in 3 and 2/3 innings. But only 1 run was earned as Sogard screwed the pooch!

Wink doesn't have MLB stuff, but he has a future as a personal pitcher for HR Derby.

When you do not have electric stuff, the margin for error is very small. I think Winkowski could be an above average reliever in Boston.

Hamilton is on fire! He's 3 for 4 in the 6th inning with a single, double and triple, plus his 66th SB. His OPS is up to .728, now.

Abreu walked his 110th time, this season! He stole a base, too while going 1-2, so far. Rafaela is 2-3 w 3 rbi

This turned into a different developmental year than I thought it would in April.

Three guys really exploded: Rafeala, Bello and Kavadas.

But a bunch of guys plugged along and took a big step forward developmentally, but the step was less steep and more linear. Guys like cassas, lugo, hickey, binelas, Winkowski, Gettys, blaze, Mayer, politi, Castellaneous, etc etc etc

Newbies came in the draft and some got off to a blazing start: Romero, Anthony, Brannon and the biggest 2022 drafter breakout by far was meidroth!

Two huge disappointments this year:

1.) yorke. He got off to another slow start. But every time he started to get going, he got injured.

2.) injuries! After decimating nearly the entire big league roster, injuries started destroying our prospects. Walter with the bulging neck disk, Cassas with the ankle, Rafeala getting hit on the wrist, yorke with a multitude of various injuries, etc etc etc

There is still a couple weeks left to the minor league season, but certainly some feeling for how good (or bad) some of our prospects has been gained.

Yes, some injuries have kept us from knowing much more about Yorke and a few others. As many prospects have jumped in the rankings, many others have fallen, some more out of attrition & graduating prospects than poor production.

Duran (#4 to start '22) graduated and lost value.

Winckowski (#12) graduated and didn't show much promise in the bigs.

Crawford (16) graduated and has shown he may stick as a swingman or long RP'er.

I think the end of year rankings will show some huge jumps by Rafaela

, Paulino, Wong, Lugo, Perales, Hickey, Kavadas, German, Drohan and Rodriguez-Crus.

We also have added some top prospects by draft, IFA and trades. Here are a few- ranked, currently:

9. Romero (draft)

11. Anthony (draft)

14. E Valdez (trade)

21. Coffey (draft)

22. Wilyer "Mr. Walk" Abreu (trade)

30. Brannon (draft)

Kavadas ended up 4 for 6 in the POR extra inning win. He's now up to .769.

Hamilton ended the night at .735, which is much better than it was all year. The 69 SBs makes his possibilities increase. Maybe the Beni trade will reap some benefits, afterall.

Hamilton is from the Renfroe trade.

Yes, my bad- as is Binelas.

The far-away prospects from the Beni trade have not done too much. Luis de la Rosa has promise.

Khalil Lee isn't exactly lighting it up either.
