Did Buck say 27 runs with 2 outs in this series? A common problem all through the year with Sox pitchers . 2 outs, 2 strikes here they come.

What it comes down to is that the SOX "didn't score early and often." That has to be the fault of Cora. Bloom will notice this complete failure by Cora and he will fire Cora.

I'm 100% positive that Cora told his batters to score 'early and often.' I personally blame it on a 'failure to communicate.'

Only question is will they hit a meaningless solo homer in the 9th to avert the shutout.

A fitting finish that would be, only to be outdone by an 8 run rally to win it

No. That’s what I think of your analysis.

I was defending Cora, and you have never said a good thing about him. Far from it. So this is about Cora, not my analysis. The Sox are losing the final 3 games of this ALCS because they can't hit the Astros pitching and not because of some move Cora made or failed to make.

Yep. It’s been absolutely ridiculous.

In all honesty the offense has sucked in the last 3 games. That's not debatable. With that being said , in the playoffs sometimes you have to grind out 2-1, 3-2 games. The Sox don't have the bullpen for that. Cora can't manage the way he did in these playoffs. He needed to leave his starters and use the pen less.

Hey guys.. it was a fun run this year. Winning a post season series is nothing to scoff at. We are rebuilding and gave 2021 a ride but we will be back. Fun chatting about ball with everyone here.

Sucks that this is how 2021 had to end but there is only one team that is happy per season. Hopefully 2022 will be our year. The future is bright.

Whitlock hasn’t pitched since Tuesday tbinking about that lol. Cora sucked in the second half of this series .

What did he do the first half? The Sox were hitting slams, and jumping out to 9-0 leads. Oh yeh. Cora did start Sale in game 1.

Really dude? Yes the sox haven’t hit but his moves of perez in a one run game last time around was f***ing awful and tonight he doesn’t bring in Whitlock at least to preserve the game at 2-0. How can you defend that s***? The season is already on thin ice bring your damn best closer to at least make the game stick at 2-0.

Just because the sox haven’t hit doesn’t mean you go stupid .

C'mon guys. This team has more holes than Swiss cheese and they went this far. Give 'em a break. They'd already beaten a better team; doing that twice isn't easy.

Agreed. If the Rays had pitched at all, we would not even be here. The Astros pitched....the Rays didn't. The end.

You can’t say the future is bright, because there are lots of questions to be answered. Bogey is just 1 of them.

Yes the stros pitched Luis Tiant and Cy Young . 26 innings and 1 run. 6 hits i believe.

Why does he have ottavino and not Whitlock in the game. Asked yourself that. Whitlock should have come in the 8th to preserve the game at 2-0.

Going into this game, Ottavino had not been scored upon in the postseason and the great Whitlock had cost the Sox game 3 when he gave up that game-tying dinger in the 8th inning. I like Whitlock just like everyone else does, but Ottavino was a reasonable choice.

Besides, the Sox lineup has scored 1 run in the last 26 freaking innings.

Where does it say that I have to say anything good about Cora?

It usually comes down to pitching and defense.. If a team doesn't have it, they're screwed.

Get out of here with the nonsense! Whitlock is your best reliever not ottavino. Are you that naive and clueless man? Seriously.
