Winnable only if it was a 3 game series. So far in the final 3 games the Sox have scored a total of 3 runs in 25 innings. The Astros pitching have completely dominated the Sox bats.

Get out of here with this nonsense. You wanna call it pitching that’s fine but this game the bats could have hit Luis García. You wanna know say it’s all pitching and not the fact that these Sox batters are clutching those bats tightly.

Well, his team certainly won in decisive fashion, so I can't disagree. But I also think 25 consecutive Sox innings of scoring one total run is kind of hard to blame on Cora. But sure, give Dusty Baker credit for getting the right guys on the mound.

Funny how smart a manager can look when his team has better pitching, especially in the BP, than his opposition.

Cora has a plan.

Actually I was volunteering. Can’t be any worse than using Danny Santana as a pinch hitter…

The SOX swing at bad pitches in nearly every game. The SOX make their living offensively by bashing pitchers' mistakes. The SOX batters haven't seen many mistakes in the last 3 games. So, yes, they're being beaten by good pitching.

Lmfao. Hahahaha. They’re being extremely impatient, swinging at dog s***, getting frustrated with themselves after every at bat. Good god man. It’s ok to say we suck!!!!! We do. We are s***ing ourselves tonight. Not always is it the pitching. Garcia obviously pitched a fine game but our bats haven’t score more than 3 runs in 26 innings. If that isn’t enough for you to admit we have gone cold then I don’t know what is. Good god.

My bad actually. “Good job offense!!!!!! you guys are super duper!!!

That better ?

One benefit tonight is that Tanner Houck is getting some good playoff experience , so that he can be a bigger factor next year maybe as the 7th or even 8th inning primary

Keep harping on that pitching cause Luis Garcia is Luis Tiant. Lol

I am just amazed at how easy people say well it’s the stros pitching. GTFOH. When did Luis García become Luis Tiant .

The difference between any of us and Santana PH'ing is that any one of us may have walked because we couldn't even see the pitch

^^^^^^

You agree with that s***???!!? Lmfao seriously?

We are swinging at pitches in the dirt!!!!!!! This is arguably one of our worst offensive performances. I guarantee you on my life any of these players will tell you they are swinging at bad pitches and being extremely impatient. They realize it’s elimination night and are getting over antsy. We are heating ourselves as opposed to good pitching. Splendid says this every single time our offense goes cold

Christ we could get shut out by Baltimore for 4 games and he would say it was great pitching.

Because it is really a low percentage play to put on a hit and run with a hitter who strikes out one-third of the time with a runner with 14 steals in his career.

Fine. Let's agree it was a low percentage play. But none of the Sox other "plays" were working, not when they go 25 consecutive innings while scoring one freaking run. Frankly, I'd rather Cora do something, even low percentage, than let his guys roll over and play dead, which is what they have done.

I hasten to add that I'm only talking about these last 3 games. This team, this lineup, this pitching staff, and this manager have had a terrific season.

You get those type fans in every sport man.

Hockey is no different. A goal could beat the goalie 5 hole and you will have some idiot saying it was an amazing shot lmao. People will have their opinions it’s all good.

Clueless! They have no clue. To not put some blame on this sox offense is absurd.

Tough tough series. I’m not even mad tho. You get outplayed sometimes. It happens. Laz Diaz really was the turning point in this series. If no one wants to go there fine. This team hasn’t been able to pick itself up since game 4. It’s a lack of mental toughness and maybe a lack of leadership in the clubhouse.

I’ll give Garcia this - he has the longest and most complicated windup I have ever seen. It’s like he’s doing the Electric Slide before every pitch…

After Game 3 the Sox started playing Home Run Derby instead of hitting exactly what got them this far. Plain and Simple..

Max stop trying to polish a turd again. You’re not good at it.

Maybe that distracted the sox batters? Lol

Exactly man. Garcia pitched a hell of a game no doubt

But anyone who thinks our offense tonight would win many games needs to give their head a shake.

Why is cora still sticking with houck? Put yo ur best reliever in the damn game. You wanna keep at least 2-0.

You mean Whitlock, the guy who killed the Sox two games ago when he gave up that game-tying dinger in the 8th inning?

Yes I am.

Any big league pitcher can make opposing hitters look silly if they have their stuff that day. It’s how often they have their good stuff that separates the great from the good from the average from the bad.
