I’ll give Garcia this - he has the longest and most complicated windup I have ever seen. It’s like he’s doing the Electric Slide before every pitch…

I agree. Like I said. He pitched a very good no denying that, but it came on a night where our bats are ice cold. It was a recipe for a disaster. But anyone who is denying the fact that our offense sucked is dillusional. Just a bad night all a right for us and a very good night for Houston.

You mean Whitlock, the guy who killed the Sox two games ago when he gave up that game-tying dinger in the 8th inning?

Right. Best go with Perez since he didn’t do that…

Lmfao. Hahahaha. They’re being extremely impatient, swinging at dog s***, getting frustrated with themselves after every at bat. Good god man. It’s ok to say we suck!!!!! We do. We are s***ing ourselves tonight. Not always is it the pitching. Garcia obviously pitched a fine game but our bats haven’t score more than 3 runs in 26 innings. If that isn’t enough for you to admit we have gone cold then I don’t know what is. Good god.

My bad actually. “Good job offense!!!!!! you guys are super duper!!!

That better ?

The SOX went as far as they could go with what they had. They went further than anyone here thought they would and I enjoyed every minute of it. Would I have liked to have seen them go further? Of course.

All I can tell you, Tyler, is to perhaps take a chill pill.

Yes I am.

Any big league pitcher can make opposing hitters look silly if they have their stuff that day. It’s how often they have their good stuff that separates the great from the good from the average from the bad.

Meh fair enough. Agree to disagree to a certain point. He pitched a nice game, but our bats deserve some blame here

Max stop trying to polish a turd again. You’re not good at it.

So that's what you think of Cora? Finally, the truth emerges.

Posted
Cora should have put Whitlock in this inning. He’s sleeping at the wheel because of this offense.

Are you making an excuse for him sleeping? We already have people excusing strike’em out throw’em out DP on a hit and run with a strike out machine AB. Any other bad moves that we should excuse?

The pitching advantage was to the sox favor. They made Luis García look very special. I said they needed to score early and once again they looked putrid through 5 innings .

This is why I hate forums and don’t post much anymore. If you were here with me you would know this isn’t meant to come out as heated ir an attack. I’m not mad I’m just surprised that you don’t think the bats don’t deserve some blame.

With that said let’s just agree to disagree. Garcia did have a good night pitching

I mean at this point you want a 2-0 lead into the 9th and not a 3-0 lead. I believe Whitlock gives you a better chance at that .

After Game 3 the Sox started playing Home Run Derby instead of hitting exactly what got them this far. Plain and Simple..

They’ve been playing home run derby the whole series. They’ve scored 28 runs. 23 of them have been on home runs.

Exactly!!!

Before this game he gave up 16 runs in his last 3 starts including 5 to us on the 16th. I just can’t all the sudden say he pitched a gem of a game. We just didn’t play a good game in my opinion and Garcia didn’t suck.

Pitching did their job tonight no matter what happens here .

Agreed

If I told anyone on this board we would score 2 runs, 1 run and 0 in games 4, 5 and 6. Boost would believe we win.

Great point. The 3 grand slams disguised a lot of poor hitting in the last 3.

And with that the BP (Otto) gives up the 3 run jack that seals it.

Well, we started the year getting swept by Baltimore, but we also took out the Yankees and the Rays in the postseason…

And the bullpen comes through to put the final nail in the coffin.

Why does he have ottavino and not Whitlock in the game. Asked yourself that. Whitlock should have come in the 8th to preserve the game at 2-0.

My wife came in to the den as Tucker was coming to bat. She predicted a home run. I'm seeing a divorce attorney in the morning.
