Pivetta is a pretty decent and low cost 5/6 starter. The others, I agree.

Any games played to break ties are considered part of the regular season, so he can play in those.

 

He is not eligible for the actual WC games or anything subsequent to those.

Cora has done a very good job with a team that really wasn't that talented. Agree about the hitting coach: all year these guys have had zero plate discipline, swinging at balls a foot outside the zone or in the dirt.

Its tough to win important games when you really aren't that talented.
