Going against the lefty, so Dalbec will be in the line-up.

Devers, Renfroe and JD have HRs off this guy.

My guess is Verdugo sits, but we'll see about Schwarber. With 3 games at the NL park coming up, soon, and no DH, we may see JD and Schwarber play all 3 of these O's games, regardless of a lefty or righty pitching.

I'm guessing this:

1. Kike CF

2. Renfroe RF

3. Devers 3B

4. Bogey SS

5. JD DH

6. Dalbec 1B

7. Schwarber LF

8. Iggy 2B (Maybe Arroyo)

9. Vaz C (Vaz always catches Sale)

Although Id rather see Iggy playing 2nd, I understand that Arroyo has to get at bats if the SOX make the PO's. It's a tough call.

I can, too, but Iggy is a better defender and is hitting very well. (There's that recency effect, again.)

80 WRC+ last series. No reason to keep running Iggy out there at Arroyo's expense.

Wander Franco has reached base now in 41 straight games which will probably garner him the ROY. Who holds the record for reaching base in straight games? Yup, Teddy Ballgame. 84 straight games. Who has the second most? Yup, Teddy Ballgame. 74 straight games.

Now, that's a real recency effect at play.

What is Arroyo's in the mini time frame?

Baseball Ref still lists Arozarena as a rookie. If so, he'd get my vote.

Iggy should play until they clinch. He has shored up the D, and hit well also. They don’t owe Arroyo anything.

I believe our own Bobby Dee will be in the top 4 or 5.

He's behind Arozarena, Mountcastle, Franco, Luis Garcia, Adolis Garcia and maybe even Akil Baddoo. Lots of rookie designations this year because of the shortened 2020.

1. Enrique Hernandez CF

2. Hunter Renfroe RF

3. Rafael Devers 3B

4. Xander Bogaerts SS

5. J.D. Martinez DH

6. Kyle Schwarber LF

7. Bobby Dalbec 1B

8. Jose Iglesias 2B

9. Christian Vazquez C

You had 2 thirdbasemen! You flipped Schwarber and Dalbec, so you get nothing! You lose! Good day, sir!

I'd like to see Iggy play over Arroyo, too, but Arroyo did play good D and hit well, too.

I'm glad Iggy is starting.

We need 2 3Bmen.

Iggy is quick enough to cover 2B and 1B.

Yes, I shoulda seen the L-R thing Cora loves and flipped Bobby Dee with Schwarbs.

That was a long time ago when Arroyo was playing good D, and hitting. People are assuming that Arroyo will be the second baseman come playoff time, and he might not be.

"Come playoff time" is also assuming and may not be so.

Prior to the NYY series I thought the Sox could go 5-4 and make the WC #2, or 6-3 and have no worries. Now it looks like 5-1 through the final 6 will either keep #2, get back to #1WC . In either event the 3 prior losses now require a sweep of O's or Nat's to guarantee the play-in game, with only one loss.

I mean can they beat crappy teams? These teams will play spoilers you can bet on that.

Two lazy popups

If ever there was a game to jump out early with about 3 runs, this would be it. May have to wait for the 2nd inning depending on Devers

Need to get a lead. One thing the rays play the Yankees in the last series. If i am them i am trying to knock them out of the playoffs. Those games for the rays should have some meaning. I rather face the sox or the blue jays .
