I just do not get why pitching is so s***** in MLB. They don't do anything other than try to fool the hitter into swinging at a ball. They challenge NOBODY. They scare NOBODY. They can't pitch inside to save their skins. Every team has 100 pitchers, none that can pitch more than 10-15 pitches at best before they are done.

I actually don't know why there are not more HR's. more RBI's, higher OPS's.

Are you unable to watch the games in this series? I have to ask because the Yankees pitching looks pretty good to me. Our Sox have scored the 4th most runs in MLB and the 3d highest OPS, and the Yankee pitchers own them.

If the Sox get swept by Baltimore they are out of a playoff spot. Unless the Yankees sweep Toronto at the same time . And don't forget about Seattle

They would finish tonight one up on Toronto and two up on Seattle. A’s and Mariners play 3 this week as well.

Bottom line is their postseason destiny is still in their own hands. Whether they take advantage of that fact is a different question.

You front running low life troll.

Lol, you’re funny.

I initially posted on this thread after Wade got thrown out with the Yanks down 1. Not my fault your pen decided to blow it after being handed an out.

Good point...simply means the entire game has gone downhill. WE SWING AT ANYTHING...which is our problem. WE fall right into the only trap the modern day pitcher has.....get you to swing at a pitch that is actually a ball!

We have been a comedy of errors all year. The amazing thing is how many botched plays we have made without being called an error.

VAZ caught the foul tip and dropped it transferring it to his right hand. Fat ass West blew it and Coma Cora sat in the dugout with his finger up his arse.

The Skanks can sweep or not sweep us.. that won’t change the FACT that Aaron Judge is at least 1/3 horse. AT LEAST 1/3.

Posts like this are really weird, like what makes someone post weird ass s*** like this?

Our best thing going for us is that either the Yanks or Jays will lose 2-3 games out of their next 3.

If we can just sweep the O's, we'll gain 2 or more on one of them.

I wouldn't count on the Sox sweeping the O's.

Game is 2-2. DJ drops a foul ball. Gallo drops a ball in LF allowing a run to score.

Wade pinch runs, gets thrown out at 2b because he didn’t slide. DJ walks, Rizzo doubles. Judge pops up and Dalbec botched it. Judge K’s and Vaz dropping the ball on the transfer and is called a foul ball. Then Judge 2 run double, Stanton 2 run bomb.

Then Devers with a ground rule double starting off the 8th. This game is far from over

Dalbec should have caught the foul pop up and Joe West sucks so Judge got two more chances.

Yes on Dalbec, who stunk on that play. As for the caught 3d strike, Cora didn't say boo, so I blame Cora.

There really isn't a strike zone anymore. The MLB chUMPIRES have made certain of that.

It's like the umps are forcing Robo umps into reality.

Well, I did accuse Judge of 'neighing' on 1st base yesterday.

Ok so it isn’t just me.. the dude looks like there was a odd encounter somewhere leading up to his existence. It’s not MY fault. Not Judging at all.. you see what I did there…

You better believe the Yankees pitchers own the Sox hitters. I mean own them. With 2 on and 1 out, Dalbec the Great K's on 3 pitches, which is exactly what he did his last time up. The Sox have 10 singles and 1 double in this game and have 3 runs mostly thanks to two egregious errors by the Yankees.

Considering mediocre starting pitching, below average defense, Covid, bad baserunning, and now a piss poor BP, my question is "how the hell are the SOX still in the hunt." Submit all answers to Ripley's believe it or not.

I predicted third place in the division this year. I feel like they overachieved but the thing is.. IF THEY ARE f***IN HERE!!! Then they might as well go further… it’s annoying to watch rlefforts like this. Tough to stomach this crap.

Again, look at the Yanks and Jays rosters and short-comings.

Why do they "deserve" it?

We've played a tougher schedule than the Yanks, up to now.

Judge is the best player on the field and much better than any Sox player. He is a no-baloney five tool player, unbelievably agile for a guy this tall (6'7"), and very good hitter despite a huge strike zone. He's one of the reasons why the Yankees are killing the Sox in this series, so I have to assume you think it's important to insult him.

That is a night by night phenomenon though. WE SWING AT EVERYTHING EVERY NIGHT. I doubt there is an umpire or an umpiring process that will keep a team of hitters that swings at everything to have plate discipline. We even know we swing at everything.

Why do you think the Fenway PR spin machine immediately spooled up the Schwarber narrative about "having a positive influence regarding Sox plate discipline"? Unfortunately ours are not the only hitters with poor plate discipline. We just happen to have an entire team mostly filled with hitters that exhibit no plate discipline at all. Lets see for hitters with any plate discipline we have X and the newly acquired Schwarber and ......X and the newly acquired Schwarber and ....

How many times have we said this year "if the hitter would just keep his bat on his shoulders this bum on the mound would simply walk guys around the bases until he is pulled". First and foremost, I blame the quality of pitching in MLB. Everything in baseball starts with the ball in the pitcher's hand. Pitchers no longer challenge hitters. Even the best of them, like Cole the other night no longer challenge hitters. Hitters don't want to draw walks all night. They want to hit.

Second....I blame the juiced baseball. At best we are back to the 2018 baseball this year which was still a wildly juiced baseball.
