Again, look at the Yanks and Jays rosters and short-comings.

Why do they "deserve" it?

We've played a tougher schedule than the Yanks, up to now.

Head to head the Yankees are just a better team now than the Sox.

And you just might be the most disgusting of all.

You’re obviously hurt that I picked on your hero. I didn’t pick on him because he’s good or not good. I picked on him because he looks like a legit horse without the long neck. You responded defensively so you know in your heart of hearts that what I said holds weight. Condolences.

I think this series answers that question.

We'll see.

We are done with the Jays. The Yanks are not.

Depending on who loses, we'll deserve it more than the loser, right?

Won't that answer the question?

Now, if we can't beat the O's and Nats, then you will be right.

No, he's not my hero because I'm a Sox fan. But I recognize his talent. You on the other hand are pretty obviously a racist.

I believe the Yankees are 9-3 against the Sox in the last 12. That says it all.

We are 10-9 vs the Yanks. I guess that does not mean anything.

We are 10-9 vs the Jays.

The Yanks are 6-10 vs the jays with 3 to play.

Let's talk after the NYY-TOR series.

I’m having fun because this series has been a disaster. Take your race baiting and obsession with race to the dinner table hun. Not to mention, your supercilious tone that you should save for your wife. No one here cares.

Bottom line if the Sox, and Yankees square off in a 1 game would you rather have Cole going against the Sox hitters, or Sale, or EO who can’t go 6 against the Yankees no matter where they play. That is what you got to look forward to.

They would finish tonight one up on Toronto and two up on Seattle. A’s and Mariners play 3 this week as well.

Bottom line is their postseason destiny is still in their own hands. Whether they take advantage of that fact is a different question.

The Mariners needed the Red Sox to sweep the Yankees this weekend.

Seattle hurt its chances Saturday by losing to the Angels 14-1 in true Mariner fashion but finished the 10-game September road trip with an 8-2 record.

That is a night by night phenomenon though. WE SWING AT EVERYTHING EVERY NIGHT. I doubt there is an umpire or an umpiring process that will keep a team of hitters that swings at everything to have plate discipline. We even know we swing at everything.

Why do you think the Fenway PR spin machine immediately spooled up the Schwarber narrative about "having a positive influence regarding Sox plate discipline"? Unfortunately ours are not the only hitters with poor plate discipline. We just happen to have an entire team mostly filled with hitters that exhibit no plate discipline at all. Lets see for hitters with any plate discipline we have X and the newly acquired Schwarber and ......X and the newly acquired Schwarber and ....

How many times have we said this year "if the hitter would just keep his bat on his shoulders this bum on the mound would simply walk guys around the bases until he is pulled". First and foremost, I blame the quality of pitching in MLB. Everything in baseball starts with the ball in the pitcher's hand. Pitchers no longer challenge hitters. Even the best of them, like Cole the other night no longer challenge hitters. Hitters don't want to draw walks all night. They want to hit.

Second....I blame the juiced baseball. At best we are back to the 2018 baseball this year which was still a wildly juiced baseball.

Good points you've made. Unfortunately I have no answers, other than my standard one. There are too many teams and not enough talent to fill them. This is also true in the other 3 major pro sports.

Judge is the best player on the field and much better than any Sox player. He is a no-baloney five tool player, unbelievably agile for a guy this tall (6'7"), and very good hitter despite a huge strike zone. He's one of the reasons why the Yankees are killing the Sox in this series, so I have to assume you think it's important to insult him.

He's 18th in fWAR and behind Bogey and slightly ahead of Devers.

He's a great player, no doubt, but his D has slipped the past couple years, and it's not a clear choice.

Not saying you are wrong, but it's not a clear choice.

Series meant more to the Yanks. With the Yanks facing the Jays for three and the Sox facing the O’s for three, there’s a pretty good shot that the Sox widen their lead for a playoff spot the next three days. Now that TB has clinched, I do not feel like the last three for the yanks are gonna be tough, but by Thursday late night, we should know who’s going to the POs

Coming from a Yankee fan I’m shocked at your take.

You are nit picking the 10-9 against the Yankees. I look at 3-9 in the last 12.

One could say you are nit picking. Why are the last 12 more important than the first 6?

If most recent records are what we judge teams by, what about this?

The Yanks are 13-15 in their last 28 games.

The Sox are 16-12 in their last 28 games.

Apparently, we should be 3 up on the Yanks, because early games shouldn't count, or is it nit picking to count the whole season?

No doubt. I'd take him over Verdugo, Renfroe and Duran combined.

If the money and years of team control were even, I'd take him over Bogey, too.

I'm not sure about Devers, as I see Devers still improving.

Some fun. In this day and age it's pretty hard not to be sensitive to racial issues, but what really bugged me was your willingness to say any human being looks like an animal, which is demeaning and insulting. And I think you did so because Judge is on the team that just beat the crap out of the Sox. Most people on talksox think Judge is actually a good guy.

Like I asked in a 1 game would you want Cole against the Sox, , or Sale, or EO against the Yankees on how things are going now. I’ll take Cole against the Sox. Don’t care what they did in Apr, May, and June.

Don’t care if he donates 10 million a year to UNICEF or Red Cross. He is a Skank hence, they love him in the Bronx hence, he can go take a walk down a dark alley. I root for one baseball team and the rest of the league can all be the nicest people in the world off the diamond. That’s great. But ON the diamond, it’s all fair game. Many Red Sox players are great guys on and off the field. I’ve heard some phrases used to describe them by opposing fans. My tongue in cheek comment about Judge is a drop in the bucket. Let’s just leave it at that. GO SOX!

That would be accurate if arbitrarily measured by the longest postseason drought.

But please note that this year the Red Sox have won 88 games with an Opening Day payroll of $182.5 million while the Seattle Mariners have won 86 games with an Opening Day payroll of $81.8 million.

The Mariners haven't finished with a better season record than the Red Sox since ... well, since last year.

Baseball America currently ranks the Seattle farm system No. 1 even though the Mariners have graduated seven former Top 100 prospects over the past two seasons.

Best wishes in the postseason.

I don’t care what the Sox, or the Yankees have done in their last 28. I only care what they do head to head. If they play a 1 game that is what will happen head to head.

In the movie UNFORGIVEN, Gene Hackman said right before Clint Eastwood shot him "I don't deserve this."

Clint responded "sometimes you get what you don't deserve."

Love that film but I don’t remember that quote.

In real life, the only team in the AL East that deserves to be in the PO's is the Rays.
