Eovaldi has never been viewed as a horse.

After 2018 he was supposed to be our No. 2 reason why they gave him that contract.

Call it the heat of the moment but that was the plan — which I was agree after that monumental game No 3 of the WS where he pitched another 9 innings. I was at the stadium btw lol

Glad to hear that.

Ya this Covid is getting depressing. It hasn’t changed my life much but I do miss having some drinks with friends at pubs. Restaurants just opened up on Monday though. Life is starting to get back to normal here.

Finally I can go outside nude again and not get the cops called on me!

Wait.... nvm.... that part hasn’t changed. Apparently they still can.

I guess this means that Andriese won't be available tomorrow.

Won’t be missed anyways lol

Watching Ryu tonight showed what a good pitcher can do. Every pitch he threw was with a purpose; one set up another and he had pinpoint control. He knew exactly what he wanted to do and did it.

It would not have mattered how well ERod pitched tonight; Ryu was masterful.

Decent 8th inning, but, honestly, I'm delighted he can't pitch tomorrow.

ERod’s velo seemed down today from his new down normal. He’s lost 1mph since 2019 but today he had no life on it

He was at 94 a couple times early, which is higher than it’s been. It went down as the pitch count mounted, but with men on constantly, every pitch seemed to be a stress pitch.

Painful, but also somewhat hilarious to watch "hitters" tonight just roll over and play dead, especially with men on base. Clueless in Seattle.

Anyway, game over, but I will continue to watch Fever Pitch on STARZ.

That's the spirit, Max.

Au contraire, I saw a pitcher (Ryu) who kept our hitters off balance all night. Up, down, in, out, changing speeds and putting the ball exactly where he wanted it. Every pitch had a purpose and he executed extremely well. He’s a very good pitcher and you saw it on display tonight.

He’s now pitched 12 innings against Boston this season and the Sox have scored in exactly 1 of them; they got 4 off him in one inning back in April at Fenway but they did little else; the other innings were pretty much a carbon copy of tonight.

Miserable game. Need more good consistency from this team. Rodríguez needs to stop stinking up the joint.

They lost 8-0.

ERod could have given up 1ER over 8 innings and they still would have lost...

Conversely, we could have scored 6 or 7 runs and still lost...

We're saving those 6 or 7 for when we can use them.

He's definitely not helping his FA $$$'s any.

Anyway, ERod has a 4.70 ERA, but a 3.27 FIP. He's been unlucky. His walk rate has been cut in half. His velo is a little down, but not dramatically.

The only issue I'm seeing is that his slider and cutter has been worse this year, but he's throwing those two pitches more. Needs to fix his pitch mix maybe?

Per statcast, his cutter and slider don't break enough anymore so he's leaving them over the heart of the plate.

The slider seems to be just a "show me" pitch, but it's getting wacked around whenever he tosses it. Dropping the slider and sticking with a FB, Cutter, Change, Sinker mix should be enough. The slider should only be used if he's going to throw it out of the zone.

Some people here want to DFA his ass lol

He started solid and while he has not been lucky, he has been inconsistent lately.

Pedro needs to help him to put his s*** together again.

Last night left a terrible taste in my mouth. I hate getting g blown out like that especially to a division rival. This just goes to show how good the Jays are this year

Tonight we 100 percent have the pitching matchup and this is a must win in my opinion. Man I hope we turn it around

I’ll be able to watch most but the Oilers and Jets playoff starts at 7. Go Oil go!!

The dude has been very hittable his last four starts. 51 hits through 44 innings on the season.

Damn that is ugly as hell. Not to mention he has given up 11 runs in his last 16 innings. Also ugly
