In my book he is a solid No. 3 pitcher who has pitched like ace at times.

True. I think he is a decent 3 or 4 but I

Still think he is overrated. A lot of us thought he was ace material. He’s just way too inconsistent for that

Alright game is going off. Would rather watch a show with my spouse now. We have the upper hand in pitching tomorrow, hopefully we get them then.

Ryu began his career in MLB in 2013. These are Ryu's lifetime stats: 62-37W/L, 2.95ERA, and 1.158WHIP. Those are stats worthy of a #1 starter.

Btw, E-rod's W/L is 56-32. Very misleading.

Feel free to cite some stats to back that up. He was pretty good in 2019, no question, but not before and certainly not since.

56-33 counting this game.

Gotta love Matt Andriese. He gets two quick outs and decides, what the hey, let's walk this next guy on 4 pitches. Before you know it, a nice little rally for the Jays.

Whatever he might have had in April is gone, gone, gone.

Well his 2019 was pretty solid and enough to show he is a capable 3 or 4 guy..... however he is GREATLY exaggerated. I can’t believe I thought he was ace material. That belongs to Pivetta

A 4.0 ERA pítcher is a Solid No 3 in my book. No rocket science here.

Ryu is a pitcher, and ERod I'm afraid is just another thrower.

This game isn't SAN ANDRIESE FAULT.

IMO he is going to end up positing something around 4.0 this year which is pretty good and solid given his role in the team as Number 3 pitcher since Sale and Eovaldi were supposed to be our horses.

He was actually better in 2018.

The team wins a lot of games when he starts, but his numbers do not support talk of being an ace.

Most good pitchers can" look like an ace at times."

Eovaldi has never been viewed as a horse.

Absolutely true. I'm just picking on Andriese because he continues to stink. At least this time Cora didn't put him in when the Sox had a lead.

I just couldn't resist the SAN ANDREAS FAULT. And, yes, he does stink.

No, he wasn't better in 2018 when he pitched 129 innings with a WAR of 3. In 2019 he pitched 201 innings with a WAR of 6, which is unlikely to ever come close to again.

Ahem. His ERA is 4.70. What he did in 2019--which was impressive-- is getting to be more and more irrelevant.

Dodgers let him go as a free agent. With their money that's a head scratcher.

Jays sure cashed in. The Jays top to bottom have a very good team. I said at the beginning of the year I think they will compete and possibly win the division. Yankees fans of course laughed at me but they pose a serious threat to us. Hell, they are 4-2 against the Yanks and they weren’t even healthy

Take away that awful 2016, and he is a pitcher in high 3s ERAs.

As I said he is nothing but a solid No 3 in my book which is what most people thought his ceiling was going to be when he arrived to Boston. 2018 and 2019 were encouraging years and some thought he could end up as No 2 or even No 1 moving forward. It’s still early. There’s nothing that can avoid that accomplishment yet.

Even in that optimistic scenario, nobody in his right mind thinks he is ace material.

And their fans in Toronto have to travel to Buffalo to see them live.

Oh wait, I don't think Torontoans are allowed to travel outside of Canada.

I don’t think you have checked his numbers. You better check them twice.

2015 3.85

2016, yes 4.71

2017 4.19

2018 3.82

2019 3.81

It will be lifted soon. Probably by the end of July. I’m 33 and get my second vaccine next month.
