I can’t believe we wasted two men on with only one out. You just can’t do that when you are playing the likes of great pitching like this. Our picture is giving us a chance at least and it’s still only a one nothing game. But if you can’t get any base runs you aren’t going to win simple as that

Don't panic yet. It's very rare the SOX don't score at least 5 runs when E-rod starts.

I’m starting to panic. :(

Game is about over. No hitting and ERod about out of gas. Renfroe didn't help. Ditto the flukey hits. But that double was real enough.

Two games in a row when ERod gives up 4 or more runs.

This is the outcome when you are afraid to throw strikes. Reminded me the timid Rodríguez he once was when he arrived to Boston. He didn’t want throw strikes to Jansen, walked him and the rest is history. 4-0.

Meh. There is absolutely nothing predictive about the support ERod has received. The Sox lineup has very obviously struggled against Ryu tonight.

How’s his velocity? The guy has been very hittable his last four starts.

Yup and I don’t see us all the sudden getting 5 now..... maybe when their bullpen comes I

The guy has been a disappointment anyway you slice it.

Not guaranteeing anything, but the SOX do have their 2 best starters going tomorrow and Thursday.

Have to bring some offense early though.

E-rod's W/L record wouldn't be as good as it is if the SOX weren't scoring a bunch of runs when he starts. This guy should never be confused with the word ACE.

daythreadzIs Rodríguez injured? If he keeps this up he needs to be replace by someone.
this

I don’t post in game threads but I blame this game on Vaz he’s terrible game caller and I’m sick of it

Well he was T-6 CY candidate in 2019. Said that call him as you want.

ERod and Eovaldi now fighting for 4th best starter, and it looks to me as though ERod is being edged out and with be 5th. W-L record is so misleading. Seriously, what does it mean when a pitcher's main claim to fame is the lineup scores runs when he pitches?

People keep saying “he missed an entire year, he needs time” guess we just keep..... giving him time

Sadly he looks worse than at the beginning of the season...... MUCH worse.

It means he is way overrated. He had a solid 2019 no doubt, but E Rod is greatly exaggerated

That K against Bogie underscores the difference between Ryu and ERod, who has never, ever been able to keep working the edges of the strike zone like that. It is just not in his makeup.

And here comes Matty!!

E-rod has a lifetime ERA of 4.04 and a lifetime WHIP of @1.300. Not exactly #1 stats.

In my book he is a solid No. 3 pitcher who has pitched like ace at times.
