What a game!

Tied 0-0 through 6, then both team match each other with

1

1

1

2

runs in 4 innings.

On to the 11th. I'm off to bed.

you picked a good time to turn off the game. With the Yankees up by 1 run the bases loaded and 2 outs and a 3-2 count, Gardner hit a grounder right at the SS who was going to one knee to field it when it came up and hit him in the jaw and 2 runs scored. That is when I turned it off.

The luck has turned on us.

The Yankees are playing like the Sox did prior to the ASB, and the Sox are playing like the Yankees did. The Red Sox luck was bound to catch up with the team, though the team is not nearly as bad as they've played recently. The Yankees remain forever lucky.

Have you looked at our IL? How can you say that's lucky?

Yes yankees are super lucky. Here's their current IL:

SP: Cole

SP: Kluber

SP: Severino

SP: Montgomery

SP: German

SP: Schmidt

RP: Chapman

RP: O'Day

RP: Mike King

C: Sanchez

1B: Rizzo

1B: Gittens

2B: Torres

3B: Urshela

OF: Hicks

OF: Frazier

OF: Andujar

OF: Locastro

OF: Amburgey

Almost a full team. And a pretty good one at that.

I think this speaks to the depth of the team, that they can still play competitively despite this insane IL list.

Your GM acquired injury prone players.

This happens every year to you.

How long does it have to keep happening before you say it's not bad luck?

Last night it looked like the Yanks were going for the record for blown saves in one game. Also, the " ghost runner " in extra innings is a travesty and an abomination. It should be grounds for removal of the idiot commissioner.

It's a COVID-19 rule that everyone agreed on.

Maybe. Personally, I don't quite get the connection between a free baserunner and Covid. I thought the idea was to prevent long extra inning games. But it just cheapens the game. And, regrettably, Covid is still around. And , regrettably, so is Manfred.

Yes, the idea was to shorten games, and the same with the 7 inning doubleheader games.

These were temporary rules they put in because of COVID-19.

Maybe they went overboard, but I think the reason behind them was a valid one.

Nestor Cortes has been really solid as a 5 inning pitcher. Asking him to face the order for a third time is a bad idea, especially Salvy Perez who had already taken him deep. Cortes is a journeyman who’s found a tick on his FB, but he’s not a reliable arm. You take what you get from him and don’t push it

I have two toddlers and post-covid neuropathy. How do you think? Just....bruh.

I know I shouldn’t laugh at this, but it is funny. I wish you the best though with the neuropathy. Hopefully, it isn’t permanent.

It probably is. But it could be worse. Them's the breaks.

Two toddlers is a plus and a curse at the same time. Neuropathy sucks, hope it fades over time. Glad to see you back on the site!

Could've been our best win of the year. Instead only like our 5th worst blown game of the year. Other teams will sure have plenty of highlights this season featuring the Yankees.

Britton has been shaky all year so I don't know why he was Boone's first choice to close. Makes no sense unless Loaisiga/Green were unavailable. Burn down the corn fields.
