Maybe we wolll make playoffs. I don’t know anymore. This team does a damn good job of getting my hopes up though.

No more waffling . No hedging your bets. They are entering the stretch and heading for home . You're either in or you're out .

What happens to you if you're out?

Gotta have high high hopes for a living

Price to start Sunday. Johnson to the pen.

Who gets called up on September 1st (Sunday)?

Getting Johnson to the bullpen is a good start. Next we need to get him to another team's bullpen...

Having already brought up Owings and Josh Smith, I'm afraid to find out.

I'd do this...

Call up....

Lakins

Brewer

Shawaryn

Velazquez

DFA> add this guy to the 40 man and call up

Owings> Chatham

Kelley> Dalbec

Curletta> Ockimey

Why give up on Trevor Kelley already?

Call up Kelley and leave Ockimey off the roster...

Fine with that, but I want to see a little of Ockimey.

We could DFA Cashner or Smith.

Or Weber or Owings.

Personally, I have no faith in Ockimey. He's hitting .213 in the International League. And while he does have 25 HRs, so does former MLB backup catcher Rene Rivera. It's just not the accomplishment it used to be. Chavis, Dalbec and Travis are all better options, and I'm not wild about a couple of them...

I already DFA's Owings for Chatham.

I'd keep Weber for one more shot.

MINN-----82-51

CLEVE----79-55

TBAY-----77-58

OAK------77-56

SOX------72-62

Cleve at TB interesting series,, especially as Dorian takes shape a dew miles away. I am in Ft Myers, and many of the 150 old folds living in Barkly Place have never experienced a Category 4 hurricane. I’ve followed them around from the 1938, 1976 and 4 here in So. Florida.

Bottom line, if a don’t report the day’s playoff standing, I; will have lost power. Two years ago, that one was a 5 day venture.

You should be safer on the West coast than those on the East coast. Don't go for any walks in the rain in the near future. :) We'll be thinking of you and looking forward to your next posting.

My older brother is in Venice and awaiting the storm. I also have a Villa there but spend my summers in the mountains of NC. Hoping that the east coast is not facing catastrophic conditions, but it doesn't look good.

Will juggle the three meaningful games until Sox come on at 10. Probably Cleve-TampaBay to begin with. Rooting for Cleve, and Yankees (GHH. Mayb not male it through the Sox game.. Be fun, anyway. Plus something to think about while awaiting the Mon or Tues arriva of Dorian.

Thanks for all the comments!

Yes, that's for sure. And the Guardians will be out of Tampa long before they have to decide on Roof or Cancellation. Nobody goes to games up there anyway, considering the teams good record. Hell, the'd drae better here in Lee and/or Collier County!

Worse scenario for us is if Guardians win 2 of 3 in TB, and Oakland wins 2 of 3 in NY. That would be hard to overcome. So I would not root for Cleveland.

I see Yanks broke all-time record for most on IL.. Urshela is the 29th,breaking LA's 28 of a couple years ago.
