They will pick around the edges of the issues they have with a few changes that don't really do much AND don't cost much, herald them as "giving them a chance" and playing for the WC, you can get away with that. IMO the chance that they would do enough to compete with this Yankmee team in the post season is zero.

Its not every year that we can measure ourselves v the Yankmees though we tend to do it out of habit. This is one year when we justifiably can and its not a pretty picture. But that is as much for what the Yankmees have done as much as we haven't. IMO, expecting DD to spring for big bucks is likely a pipe dream. Henry is not interested. His money is from the network and the carnival they run at Fenway every game.

 

I suspect Henry is curtailing DD because if the owner doesn't DD will lay waste to the franchise farm system and the budget all at the same time. Its inevitable with DD unless the owner steps in.
