Barnes is supposed to be the teams best reliever, he now has ERA just under 5

He’s already worn down and no longer reliable. He needs a week off and this team cannot give him a week off.

These are Home Games, the Sox will be 20-22 at home. They lost 24 games last year at home.

The dope looked at the other bases. Incredible! The pitcher is standing on 1B. Did he yell “here!”? Probably not. I guess the PEDs don’t do anything for your brain.

The other thing you find out in a game like this where pitching has been an issue is we have too many holes in this lineup. Mookie is not hitting. Beni is not even on the field. Nunny is a black hole. Sam Travis...if he was a ML hitter he would have proven it by now and regardless of people's love for Chavis, he can be beaten. Its not even hard to do.

 

The Yankmees were just waiting for the dam to bust open. We were waiting for I don't know what....a miracle.

Matt Barnes has always been a gas can waiting to happen .This entire season and its failure is on Dave and Cora for not evaluating the bullpen well enough .This series has not only embarrassed the Redsox but an entire state becuse of there failure .The Yankees are a damn good team but they know why there winning these games .
