David Ortiz reportedly shot in attempted Robbery in Dominican Republic

Probably not a robbery, but given the number of stories coming out of the DR about wealthy athletes being robbed, I'm willing to consider that this might have been an acquaintance or hanger-on who asked Ortiz for money and was turned down. Not that it matters, at this point. All I care about is Ortiz pulling through. This is a bizarre situation and even though this has happened before with MLB players in the DR It's still unbelievable.

 

Apparently he was shot by two guys hired by a drug lord who thought Ortiz was having an affair with his wife. But who knows.....

In regards to the arguments about the Ortiz, the US and the DR: While the Dominican Republic has some very sketchy s*** going on and isn't the safest place, unfortunately this type of s*** happens in the US also. Rapper Nipsey Hussle, who is comparable to Ortiz in the fact that he was a rich, well known millionaire, who gave back to his community and was loved by fans and many his profession, was gunned down in his hometown while with his daughter in public in broad daylight. Its a cold world.

I was trying to use a more recent example. But, regardless. Only recently, they darkened the skin of a woman on a photograph that was fighting Brexit in an effort to turn its readers (or are mostly incredibly ignorant, racist and desperate for Brexit) against people in the UK who have darker skin.

 

It is a major part of the reason the UK is going to s***. They lie and stir up hatred with impunity.

While for the most part I agree with your take on the UK Daily Mail, perhaps you could differentiate the substantive difference between FOX's clear Right Leaning bias vs. the obvious Left Leaning bias of CNN, MSNBC, etc.?

 

Can you list for me some significant news stories, not the opinion side of their coverage, where FOX falsely reported a major news story?

 

For the record, the "reporting" by the msm on the Kavanaugh Hearings, & his reported "35 year old" Chain Rape charges was beyond the pale. The msm turned the scales of justice upside down, with the tried & true "well, we can't PROVE that he didn't do it, so it's the seriousness of the charges that MUST rule the day."
