Trading Mookie Betts to free up money for bullpen money would be one of the dumbest f***ing things you could do.

Mookie, like 99% of all ballplayers, will go to whatever team pays him the most. Hometown discount qualifies as an oxymoron.

If you read the post, I never said that. They will get 4 or 5 players for Mookie if they trade him. The money they will have to spend will come from Porcello and Fat Panda. They would be stupid to let Betts walk and get only a draft pick for him.

Nunez wasn't available tonight.

You are having a good night too. Fun to joke around on a winning night. Oh wait, not quite over yet

Roll on, boys!

ROLL ON !!!!!

The beginnings of a series of series wins pulling the team back into contention by end of May. Oh you say Porcello goes tomorrow . 9 runs will get it done again, lol

Pretty sure we score at least 1 run every time Rodney toes the rubber. The guys behind the wall simply shove a yellow 1 onto the score board the second he trots in from the pen. Automatic

Chavis is a RH version of Dever's at times, free swinger with strong body. I know PED influence. Wonder why he felt he needed the artificial boost.

Don't you think it was because he thought it might give him a better shot at making millions in the future, even if he got caught? (Same reason I imagine any player risks it.)

E-Rod is the Spanish Dice K. 97 pitches in Four and two thirds of a inning. Talk about killing Bullpens. Edited by OH FOY!

he was 0-2 on 2 batters in a row that he ended up walking.

Brutal night for E-Rod.... I was checking the stats on ESPN and couldn't believe we went through 7 pitchers at the time I checked..... Something tells me the this won't be the last time the bullpen gets this much work. Though Price and Porcello have been playing good lately this rotation still doesn't seem what it was last year especially Sale and E-Rod.

The only good news about that is that Barnes only had to throw 2 pitches.

Maybe we should Barnes to the starting rotation lol.... E-Rod can take his place in the bullpen.

But yes Barnes is shaping up to be quite the weapon if he keeps this up. The guy can close games, or been brought in for multiple innings. He is definitely a good player to have!

I'll admit it. I was ready to give up last night. I changed the channel after we got down 4-0, but thankfully, I came back to see all of the 3rd inning rally. Unless this finally turns a corner, however, it won't mean much. Right now, we're WAYYY too inconsistent. At least if we s*** the bed tonight, I can go watch the Bruins or Celtics

ERA over last 14 days

3.00 Sale

3.27 Price

3.86 Porcello

4.50 ERod

7.36 Velazquez

ERod is not the first guy I'd replace.

Yes, when someone asked who was going to start when Eovaldi went down and Johnson was injured.

(My choice would be DHernandez.)

His crooked hat is to blame. He's entertaining for sure.

We are 6-4 in our last 10. That dreadful start really cost us...… Had we even started something like 6-4 we would be in a wildcard spot and just behind Tampa. That nasty slow start may cost us.

Somehow, we're 6-4 in the last 10. The 6 wins were all really good wins in their own way, whether it be the 3 close wins we got over Tampa led by pitching and clutch hitting, or the offense overpowering like it did last night and on Thursday. Those 4 losses, however, were ugly. Bad defense and an offense going dormant. We did face some good pitchers in that span (Morton, Glasnow, you could even throw Boyd in there). I'm curious to see what happens when every game at Fenway is played in the 70s, instead of the 40s and 50s. I feel like April is always a wild card.
