I'm just curious: What do you type into Google to find all of these lovely ladies?

That's what makes blue states so great and why everyone wants to live there, whichever coast they're on--those taxes pay for services. But as far as baseball is concerned, I agree: all those East Coast whiners should move here to SoCal!

That's not true at all.

And exactly what are these "services" that those states receive that the other states don't?

Better education. Better infrastructure. Better services for those in need.

omg

I don't think they're that hot, I just wanted to know where he found them. I'm fairly innocent compared to most 20 year old boys.

Not so sure about that.

There's plenty of lousy schooling in blue states.

And exactly what infrastructure are you referring to?

I'm definitely going to take YOUR word for anything in this argument.

There are more than enough studies out there showing that blue states are more educated and affluent than red states. How do they become affluent? Better infrastructure (roads, services, etc.). Just because there aren't bad schools in blue states, doesn't invalidate the argument as there are way more s***** schools in red states.

If we continue this trend, you may want to try a GILF or someone over the age of 70 just see if it works magic with this season. Just a thought :)

I certainly am not going to deny that there is a severe lack of education in places like Louisiana, Mississippi, etc., the article is a little misleading.

Just because an area may have a high percentage of degree holders does not necessarily mean that they earned those degrees in that respective state. Many places like NYC and Boston have higher paying jobs that require these degrees, so people with those degrees move to those areas. And the article does state that the place with the lowest amount of HS diploma holders is California.

As far as infrastructure is concerned, many of the blue areas are in serious disrepair. Have you driven in NYC, Detroit, etc lately? The roads are shot, bridges are in terrible shape. Now granted, much of that may be attributed to age and weather, but to say that their infrastructure is in much better shape is not the case in my opinion.

And a recent report that I read showed that out of the whole Northeast the only state that had a higher influx of residents than people leaving was Vermont. So his original statement that that's why "everyone wants to move to blue states" is simply not true.

I have a fantastic view of the ocean and don't live in a blue state.

Ah yes, the thousands of cases of human feces on the streets of San Fran to go along with hypodermic syringes from the junkies and the homeless tent cities........

The bottom line is they all have their pros and cons for living there, it really is a matter of personal preference.

In NYC it all comes down to management (or mismanagement). The city raises an insane amount of tax revenue yet the public school system is poor overall, most major roads and highways need extensive repairs, the subway system is a century old and getting shittier each year despite billions in subsidies that are ultimately funded by taxpayers, homelessness is rampant, drug related deaths and violence are increasing... So what's the solution? There are tax increases, new taxes, toll hikes, subway fare hikes, etc. almost annually. Yet these don't lead to improvements. The reason being that we have a wasteful mayor who spends large sums of taxpayer money on projects which help very few people. And the reason he gets re-elected is because people incessantly vote along party lines, even though the city has gotten noticeably worse since he took office.

So how does this relate to what you're all talking about?? I dunno, I just needed to vent.

I agree 100%, I love to visit but there's no way I would ever live there again.

At this pace, the Red Sox will be eliminated before the ring ceremony at the Fenway Opener.

You guys are going to force me to the straight bourbon at .......about 2:00 PM. Oh what the heck ...close enough to the witching hour.

Meh. Red Sox just messing with other teams. Giving them hope just to go on a 15 game win streak and smash their precious hopes.
