Apology accepted, check via an administrator if needed. Let's just enjoy another winning season with the Sox. Done deal.

MADSTORK would never post anything like this. You're definitely not him.

That's enough for now I guess. How's the instagram account doing with all your selfies?

That's cute.

We all use it, it's just you start to use it in every other post.

Glad you spent the time to go and review all my posts for the times I've used it. You need a new hobby.

I find you clowns more amusing than being on a Yankee site.

But, back to baseball.

Are you concerned with sale's performance yesterday? How about thornburg?

Sale? No. It's just one game. Sox were 0-1 after game 1 last year too.

Thornburg? No idea what to expect from him.

So does the bullpen (or lack thereof) concern you?

And the difference between this year and last year was, if I recall correctly, it was the bullpen that imploded last year whereas this year was on sale.

Yes, Joe Kelly & Carson Smtih let up 6 runs in the 8th after Sale & Barnes 1 hit the Rays through 7 IP.

You know what? NOTHING should "concern" any Sox fan this year. We will be competitive. We will also likely make the playoffs. But after three consecutive years of sustained excellence (including three consecutive ALE titles and a ring) there is no reason for any Red Sox fan to worry about what may or may not happen this year. No team has an exclusive on sustained excellence (besides the Patriots, I guess). I am giving this year's team a pass.

soxprospects has us with 37 players on the current 40 man roster.

Is there some rule about having to have a certain amount of players on the 40 man roster?

Wright is suspended. He makes 38, when he comes back.

Nobody is on the 60 day DL.

Manager Alex Cora said Pearce (calf) will hit third against lefties once he returns from the IL, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.

Not yet. Still early. I also believe some MiLB will make a big impact in the pen this year.

It's not much of a difference to me. 1 game out of 162? The epitome of SSS.

Yup. This year the Sox are playing with house money. Actually, a whole lot of house money because I think they have the highest payroll--again.

I disagree.

Any fan has concerns about their team or at least they should IMO otherwise they are not a true fan. Remember, fan is short for fanatic.

i dont think we will be seeing neck tat in many high leverage situations. bringing him into a 7-2 baseball game is exactly why he is on the 25 man.

i do think it's cute how our previously banned yankees troll stops by to try and rub our faces in it after game 1 of 162.

Our little guy is so grown up now. Makes me feel old AF.

While I was down there, we stopped at the Thomas Edison Henry Ford museum, which, btw, is a great activity if anybody goes down for Spring Training. There were different rates for children (0-11), teens (12-19), and adults (20+). I read the sign and thought to myself, Holy s***, I'm not a teenager anymore.

I went there when 30+ years ago when I was a kid. I still remember being in awe of how cool the banyan tree is there. Don't remember anything else about that place though.

What an unimpressive display for the WS trophy. I'm not jealous or anything like that

The Sox actually brought the WS trophy to Halifax after the 2007 season and I went to the showing. There were 2 big burly guys standing on either side of the stage. I couldn't help thinking it would be a fairly comical scene if someone grabbed the trophy and tried to make a run for it.

Or maybe just dented it with a can of beer.... Oh wait......:D

Last year when Kelly blew the opener I was ready to cast him out - some of you might remember - but he turned things around, so I will not get overly concerned about Thornburg yet. However, I have been thinking that Thornburg has nothing left ever since he joined the Sox. So I can't say his performance yesterday came as a surprise. Sale on the other hand, that's worrisome. Hopefully he turns it around next start. This team makes the playoffs even if Sale has a bad year, however.

I dont think we will see thornburg in a high leverage situation just yet. this is the type of game we will see him in until he can prove himself.

Feel free to disagree. However, since no one appointed you judge over what constitutes a "real fan" I will give your opinion the weight it is worth, which isn't much.
