My favorite moments:

Game 1: Sox strike quick against the Dodgers with 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st. Nunez later emerged to put it on ice with a 3 run homer

Game 3: Eovaldi 'start' within a start. It's took guts as every pitch is sudden death. With the BP emptied he saved us from tapping into another starter. This is a heroic effort.

Game 5: Sox got Betts, JD, to hit bombs. Price pitch a beautiful game, dominant. Kelly & Sale struck out the final 6 batters to seal the Series.

Congratulations everyone. Well deserved. The Sox were the best team in baseball this year throughout the season. They beat #s 2 and 3 in the AL and a good Dodger team as well. Nothing cheap about this one. This isn’t a flash in the pan. It’s clearly well deserved. Enjoy it

Nothing cheap at all in these wins. Some great moments in the final game as well.

Price as starter when I really wondered if he should come back this early from a heavy workload. He settled in and had an excellent start.

Kelly coming in after pitching 2 the night before and striking out the side.

Sale who i also wondered about as to why he didn't start. He threw at 95 mph and one at 96. He also struck out the side and for a bonus, got Machado to end it. Machado looked pathetic.

Two homers by Pearce.

Betts came out of a funk and homered.

JDM ditto.

So many great moments and no doubt who the best team in baseball was this year. It was proven on the field. Got to give guys confidence and a sense of pride in their many achievements.

I have to thank you for saying this and I actually think that you mean it. For various reasons, i can see why your contributions add a lot to this forum. You compete in a hostlile environment for sure. If you were a player, you would likely be playing for us! lol

The big hits provided most of the excitement of course, especially Pearce, but also the surprise 3 run dingers by Moreland and earlier by Nunez.

But my three most enduring memories will probably be how much better the pitching was in the postseason, how masterful Cora was in numerous decisions, and how much these guys rooted for each other. I woke up this morning and could name all 25 from memory.

What a season. i don't live in the market, for the first time I got the MLB channel and was able to watch every game all year. On top of that I became a regular poster here. And I got to witness one of the best seasons a baseball team has ever had.

What makes this fun is the Red Sox are kind of unique to me. Where most of my friends root for the same local teams I do (Redskins etc) I'm the only one who roots for the Sox. So I know damned well my old friends, guys I played softball with in 1986, long lost roommates are thinking of me as they watch all of this.

*Sniff, Sniff* I need a tissue.

For me personally, this championship is not just the apex of the 2018 season. It dates back years. I’ll keep it simple and say it dates back to 2013 and Xander Bogarts’ contributions and realizing that he was the first step in building this core. The first blip on the radar. Then came JBJ and Mookie, Beni, Devers graduating over the following seasons (I repeat, I’m highlighting and keeping this plain and simple). By many they’ll be remembered for 2018. But most of us on here... we know better. In every way conceivable, we’ve all fussed, fitted, fighted, and obsessed over every aspect, every crossed t and dotted i this last half decade (and more) over this particular team. There was never any guarantee. And they did it. They got it done. Congratulations to these Red Sox. Congratulations to everyone on here, friend or foe. I hesitate to talk about the future. I just want to let this soak-in and enjoy this for a while.

High Fives to all my Red Sox brothers!

this one is very special. this team is full of great men who make it easy to root for them. they earned this one and blitzkreig'd the postseason.

TIME TO PARTY!

fun fact: the Boston Red Sox have won the very first and last World Series.

It was a fun season!

Kicking AL East ass in the regular season.

Kicking Yankee ass in the ALDS.

Kicking Astro ass in the ALCS

And a mercy killing of the Dodgers to cap it all off.

I picked the Sox in 6.

I am disappointed! :P

I had them in five, and I also picked the game they would lose...when I get done patting myself on the back let me say this one word: DOMINATION!

From start to finish this is the most dominant Sox team in history. They started out winning 17 of their first 19 games. Never had a losing streak during the year of longer than three games. Won 108 games, more than any other Red Sox team in history. They dispatched the Yankees in four games, winning on their home field after the Yankees won 100 games. They beat the champs in five games after they won 103 games, again on their home field. And of course they won a ring beating a good but overmatched Dodgers team-in five, on their home field.

This scenario is likely never going to happen again in our lifetimes. Enjoy it!

I'm just sad we can't watch this team play anymore games. Yeah, it's nice to get a championship, but this same group of players will never take the field together again

This is the only downside to October baseball. I have no idea what I'm going to do in the evenings now.

Luckily, I go to a school where basketball is all the rage, and we start playing exhibition games this weekend

The Celtics are usually a fun watch.
