Every message board I’ve posted on over the years always had a game thread, but I don’t see where the game thread is on this forum. I see all the other topics, but not a game thread. I just started posting on this forum about a month ago. So where exactly is the game thread?

So who goes into game 4 at 3rd base and who at 2nd? Watching Bregman play 3rd land seeing our guys is a world apart. @nd base is more about hitting. Devedrs and Holt?

Maybe Holt at 3b and Kinsler at 2B?

Maybe put Nunez on the DL, or whatever it's called, and add Lin to the roster?

What’s the injury prognosis?

I have no idea. I'm sure we won't DL Nunez, if we think he'll be okay. We'd lose him for the WS.

Nunez has looked extra shaky at 3rd and it may be partially due to his gimpy leg. Devers is no great shakes. I don't know if Holt is much of an improvement defensively. Something to address in the off season.

Had we signed Moustakas instead of Moreland.....

He looks very uncertain. He seems to always be caught in-between when fielding the ball and also when deciding where to throw it.

4 Inning / 4 BB's / 4 ER /

4 more if he had gone beyond 4

CAN WE PLEASE cut the s*** about "David did well enough!"

If we had only put up 3 runs . . Or even 4, we would be talking about his 2nd disastrous start.

BUT... Simply because we lucked out, & put up a few gimmies, "David pitched well enough?" 4 ER's with 2 LOB just before s***ing himself?

He was a completely wrecked, s***ing himself, SHADOW of a $30 mil ACE. In fact, he did worse in both games than one might hope for out of a LAME DUCK #5, NOBODY else is available, Starting Pitcher.

YET.... Guy after guy keeps spouting the same, "IT wasn't ideal, but David pitched just well enough to help the Sox get the win."

CAN WE PLEASE CUT THE s*** ON THAT LINE?!

I agree regarding the lack of Cat like quickness at 3b

Seattle is THE BEST place to see a Red Sox series in the country!

Our Honeymoon, planned by my now wife, was 3 games in Seattle. 2006

It's a yearly pilgrimage now!

Every summer!

It's like having Boston move to Seattle for 4 days! AWESOME!

The players are AWESOME! Stay at their hotel, & you will pick up 10 autographs per summer! GREAT TIMES!!!

& for the Red Sox fan who has never been to Seattle??? It is a STUNNING city, with far more to see than you could ever have the time for.

Spectacular!

He’s getting a lot of chances to do something and he keeps s***ing the bed.

Amazing how moving runners over and getting them home is lacking in baseball. Brewers/Dodgers had so many opportunities to move a runner to 3rd base and get him home and they just could not do it...in the NL no less, they just could not do it. Game 4 goes 13 innings with Dodgers winning 2-1. But this whole launch angle, advanced shift baseball thing is just ridiculous. Game was 1-1 from very early on. Don't think either team scored for 7 straight innings, 15 turns at the plate.

Why Kinsler over Devers? Kinsler looks lost at the plate, Holt is not good at 3b.

Random thoughts:

1. The Garden crowd chanting JBJ in the first quarter was really cool. Hard not to be thrilled for him.

2. It's easy to overlook, and obviously it would have been nice for him to nab that Bregman double (it was a tough chance, but doable) but Devers has been pretty darn good at the plate this postseason. He had a mildly disappointing season at the plate, but he has clearly looked like he belongs facing the best teams he has faced all season.

3. For all the genuflecting about the Astros' greatness - it was easy to overlook that the Sox played like crap in Game 1. The Sox had their first clean performance of the series in Game 3 and whaddya know? The Astros are really good. But so are we.

I was talking strickly defense.

I wanted Devers at 3B for his bat, and I don't think the hobbled Nunez is much better on defense at this point in time.

I'd probably start Holt at 2B full time, and use Kinsler for defense late in the game (maybe moving Holt to 3B, if we have a lead).

What do people think about ERod right now? I guess he's in the doghouse over his lack of hustle in game 2, but he looked pretty good last night. It would be great to have another reliable arm in the pen, even though there aren't a lot of lefties on the Astros.

I think he's trade bait this off-season...

I'm with you all the way on #3. It even seems to me that the team doing the broadcasting has the Astros on a certain elevated level as well. Perhaps they have earned it but if anyone thinks that this Sox team is lucky to be up 2 games to 1 in this series, got a newsflash - the Red Sox ain't too bad!

I don't know, other than Price he's our only starting pitcher with any significant years of control.

Don't blame me. Blame Dombrowski...
