It looks like Stanton is getting in one of his hot streaks, where he hits a bunch of HRs in a short period of time, he use to have them with the Marlins, this would be the first with the Yanks

The Yanks are something like 50-4 when they get a quality start. Crazy that we’ve only gotten QS’s in well less than half our games. Thus far, Happ and Lynn have given us QS’s in all 3 of their starts and we’ve gotten 3 in the last 4 games (CC missed by one out). This will really be an off-season priority, to sure up the rotation

Britton will get his s*** together. We are gonna develop a hierarchy against these s***** teams. Lynn was good today, not amazing but good. The offense came through.

Surprisingly, Lynn has been nails since May 1. He and Happ may slide into the playoff rotation behind Sevy and Tanaka if CC continues to be hit or miss. I’d also consider re-signing either in the offseason

One thing I noticed about Stanton is that he’s still closed in his stance, but not as pronounced. He’s still crushing the ball to the opposite field, but this is allowing him to turn on balls inside without getting twisted up

We have an easy schedule for the rest of the way except for games vs the Sox and one west coast trip. Other than that, we’re facing wastelands of teams. I think the rescheduling of some of these games was a great idea after the deadline. The Mets don’t have Cabrera. The Jays dealt away their pen and their best pitcher. The O’s literally have nobody left with any value. The Tigers dealt off some players who didn’t entirely suck. We still have the White Sox at home. The fact is, we are set up and should win 100+ games. We can no longer look at the Sox and their wins and losses. If we win 103 games or so and end up in the WC, just win the playin game and show them who’s better. It’s what you gotta do

Sabathia on the DL for unknown reasons. Brilliant.

Edit: right knee inflammation, will likely only miss one start.

Fatigue will haunt your team. Even Spetember call-ups won't help much as you'l need to play your best players to try an win every game you can.

The A's are for real.

The M's look like they might be turning it around after looking terrible for a while.

Damn that Billy Beane. Those gay people are sure creative and have an uncanny ability to make something out of nothing.

That big A in the rear view mirror is getting closer.

Just be happy that the Mets and Yanks hate each other. Can you imagine DeGrom on the Yanks. DeGrom is 30 years old. Last year DeGrom gave up 28 HRS, 201 innings, this year 8 so far, in 152+innings.

So let me get this straight: Boone brings A. J. Cole into a 1-run game and leaves him in there until he gives up 3 home runs. In fact he didn't even pull him right after the third home run.

Boone just might have some serious issues as a manager.

Some Yankees fans already calling for his head on a platter.

Heads of Yankee fans were exploding. Keith Olbermann was not a happy camper on ESPN.

Over his career Cole has allowed a .980 OPS against LH hitters. But Boonie let him pitch to both Nimmo and Conforto, with somewhat predictable results. Not sure what he was thinking.

That big HR by Boone made Cashman think he had grit or whatever useful intangible he calls it.

Maybe that HR has come back to help us.
