And Chapman now exits due to injury. Nothing new, just the balky knee. And yet we win again. In other news, our offense has been neutered and we scored 2 runs in 12 off a bunch of children.

Also, Sheffield is being moved to the pen for his presumed Sept callup. Would be nice to see his stuff down the stretch in short stints

Chap to the DL, Robertson dealing with some shoulder soreness. He is not DL worthy apparently. I'm waiting for that shoe to drop

It's not good when your starting pitcher averages 5 1/3 a start.

Frazier-arrogant player with big head has a head injury

Gregorious-a heel with a heel injury

Sabathia-an obese drunk who ate and drank until his knees gave out

Judge-a giant of a man disabled by a midget bone

Sanchez-lazy punk who's fragile psyche is being protected by a fake injury

Ellsbury- One of Boras's biggest con jobs and Cashman fell for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chapman-Strained knee because he didn't use proper form when beating his wife/girlfriend

The Red Sox have had their fare share of injuries this year but it didn't stop them from winning.

Betts missed some time

Sale

Xander

E-rod

Pedroia all year.

So yeah , stop whining with your injuries damn yankee fans.

And I'm not sure why you have Ellsbury on that list cause he's not that good anymore and wouldn't be playing even if he wasn't injured.

I feel like the same can be said of Pedroia nowadays

If you prefer a .264 hitter over a .293 hitter, you're in luck.

Ellbury did about .006 points better in slugging last year.

In every other category, he was behind Pedroia.

Pity that WAR doesn't take Ellsbury's rifle-like arm into consideration.

Their WAR's were nearly identical, taking into account the entire package.

they are both dead man walking at this point.

1 has an AAV of $21.8MM

and the other has an AAV of $14.16MM

Except for Jacksonianmarch, I know what every GM, fan, owner in the universe would prefer to have.....

Okay, then add to the list:

Devers, Marco Hernandez, Vaz, Wright, Smith, Thornburg, Maddox and others.

You're kidding, right? Mookie missed 2 weeks, as did Xander. They were not at the same time. Sanchez has missed 2 months. Judge has missed a month. Didi will likely only miss 2 weeks. Chapman is currently down for 2 weeks. Our 2, 3, and 5 hitters in our lineup are gone at the same time. We also lost our #4 starter for the season in JMont. Our backup OFer, Frazier has missed months due to concussions. If you wanted to complain about missing Pedey, we lost our glass man as well in Ellsbury for the forseeable future. The injuries facing the Yankees this year have been excessive.

Smith and Thornburg were supposed to be out two best set-up me. They have, essentially, given us nothing due to injury.

Pom was clearly our second best pitcher last year. Injury has turned him into mush. His replacement, Wright, has missed most of the year. Erod has missed 7+ starts. Sale and Price have missed about 6 between them. If you add them all up, we've lost more starts from our best starters than the Yanks:

4 Sale

16 Pom (and the 11 he gave us sucked)

2 Price

8 ERod

20+ Wright

Yes, Betts & Bogey did not miss much time, but Pedey had been out all year, Devers has been on the DL twice, Pedey's back-up, Marco Hernandez, has missed the whole year. Nunez has been playing hurt, and we lost our starting catcher right as he had begun to heat up.

I'm not saying our injuries are worse than yours, but it's pretty close, for sure.

Besides, weren't you guys the team that had all this amazing young depth that there weren't even enough roster spaces for everyone?

Sale missed three starts. ERod has missed a month. Tanaka did too. Pomeranz has sucked as has Gray. Pom isn’t hurt, he’s just terrible now. Losing your MVP candidate, the best offensive catcher in the AL and Didi at the same time should be team killing. Cmon man. It ain’t even close

perhaps they need a visit to the NYY Miami clinic

Yanks have been playing well without Judge et al but yesterday really exposed their lineup. Rodon was good but still hittable.. when you have Luke Voit batting clean up you know there are problems.

It's been good enough to beat bad teams to this point. Rodon is the best starter we have faced since we left Boston and he carved up our mostly AAA lineup. I am not saying adding in our 3 missing middle of the order hitters would have won us the game, but I guarantee it would have increased the pitch count on Rodon to maybe get him out earlier and force the white sox pen to beat us. At the very least, we are starting to turn the corner. Sanchez had two hits and a tater in AAA yesterday. Didi is close to returning and may come right off without a rehab assignment. Judge has noted improvement in the wrist, although he isn't swinging a wooden bat yet (he is swinging a wiffle ball bat). If the injury to Judge pushed him closer to October, I bet theyd have him back by now, but theyre doing all they can to ensure he is totally right for the playoffs. I can follow that plan. Chapman got his injection and the waiting begins. Patellar tendonitis is annoying. It will likely be something he deals with for the rest of his career. He will be back. Aside from JMont, our rag tag group of players appear set to be full force once October comes. Here is to hoping they can win a play in game
