That’s possible. Who knows. I think Cash needs to have a starting contingency going forward. Sanchez, when healthy, has a legit bat. He also has a legit arm behind the dish. He’s just lazy and slow back there

"He's just lazy and slow back there." Was that in any of his scouting reports? LOL

Sanchez has always been somewhat of a prima donna. This is a problem when the player is a catcher. Catchers must sacrifice their body to block and Sanchez knows his payday isn’t coming from his catching skills.

As you said he should end up a DH.

Clearly, I hope he figures it out behind the dish. That being said, we need to consider the idea of getting a full time catcher for next year and shifting Gary to a mostly DH role

You don't just give up on a guy like Sanchez.

That guy has legit swat. Not many guys have that. AS Doc says he does have an arm, too.

He can't block the ball for s*** and he seems to be a dufus.

Never said to give up on him. His bat is down this year, but everyone knows it’s special, even if they don’t want to admit it. He’s now missed a month in two straight seasons and sounds like he’s about to miss another month going forward. He’s not a good blocker or framer. With the way our contracts are coming up, I’d expect us to let Gardner walk, move Stanton back into the OF full time and this opens up the DH slot for Sanchez. I still think he could catch a fair amount, but I’d rather he not be a full time catcher if he cannot stay healthy. Maybe a time split as a C in 80 games and a DH in the other. Maybe we bring in a guy who plays golf D and can hit (like Ramos, who is a FA) and he starts 100 games behind the dish while Gary stays healthy in the DH role and gets 60 games as a C.

Sanchez is rated as one of the better pitch framers in baseball. His only weakness behind the plate is blocking balls. And I guess walking slowly to get passed balls.

Lots of in fighting. Terrible AB’s. No team unity. 25 buses?

NYY may fall out of WC race.

I hope that you are prescient.

Holder came in after Cessa and gave up a HR. What would the reaction be if Boone pulled Cessa after 5 shutout innings and then Holder gave up that HR? "Ohhh Boone pulls a guy who is pitching a gem, what a f***ing IDIOT!!!". This loss is on the offense. Period. Scoring only 2 runs gives you less than a 10% chance to win any given game.

We’ve beaten every team this year in head to head aside from Baltimore and TB. I don’t get it

It's just random s***, seriously.

But we’re 1-5 in the Trop this year

I know, it's awesome. Makes me feel absolutely warm and fuzzy inside. Just the words "The Yankees keep losing to the Rays and Orioles" feels like getting paid 1000 dollars an hour to eat ice cream in a pile of puppies on a perfect spring day.

Every year, every pitcher has a rough spot. He’s still throwing ridiculously hard. His slider still had bite. He’s just not locating. If he saw a major velo plunge, then I’d be concerned

At this point Severino has to be a concern for Yankees fan.

I believe the league has "caught up with him" as they say. The way he is pitching lately he will be earning a new nickname shortly. How about "six pack severino" for starters?
