Every bit as much proof as there is that Brady's footballs were underinflated.

I notice there's no denial there that the bat was corked. That's a typical Yankee fan's response. Here's what a third party teammate of Dent's had to say about it:

Acccording to Mike Torrez, `Mickey (Rivers) told me two years ago that Bucky`s bat was corked. If I had known that, I would have thrown him a spitter. Maybe that`s what I should throw Monday -- a nice wet one. No, he`ll get the same pitch.`

Now smirk for me. ;)

could have been super balls. those yankees teams loved to fill the bats with those as well.....

They always seem to develop pitching. Wish we could do as well with pitcher development.

they focus on run prevention with ballparks that enhance it

Severino has learned to master his fastball location. He's almost taken the Leo Mazzone rout of down and away repeatedly with the fastball. Once he is ahead, his slider is deadly and his change has really come around. But everything plays off his 98mph fastball. Pom doesn't have a 98 mph fastball

True, but the exit velocity of POM's pitches approach 110mph.

Here's a moving Williams story. Years ago Ted went to a Boston hospital to visit children dying of cancer. One of the children Ted visited grabbed his hand and wouldn't let go. Ted asked the nurse if she had a cot he could use and he spent the night at the hospital holding the child's hand. Ted was upset when this episode went public because he never wanted these trips to the hospital to ever be made public. He was a very complicated human being, but he loved children, and, as we all know, he hated most sports writers.

No, that would be the patriots.........

The Pats just get caught: the Yanks are better at hiding it.

I'm still waiting for the discovery that steroids were in the drinking fountain in the Yankee clubhouse for decades.

Teddy was the greatest.

That pretty much sums it up.

Actually according to yourteamcheats.com, the New York Jets cheat more often than any other NFL team. This is largely ignored because, despite all the cheating, the Jets still suck...

That's where the "cheaters never win" phrase came from.

The Giants 37 instances of cheating on yourteamcheats.com still outnumbers the 26 instances listed for the Patriots...

Wait. Is Billy Williams the Babe from BDC?

The " Best of BDC " will be available in a boxed set of 12 DVDs soon. Featuring Babe and a whole host of other colorful characters. I don't think the vets here at Talk Sox were too thrilled with the BDC " invasion." What they don't realize is that they actually got the sanest of the former BDC crew. It could have been much worse. Anyone who doubts this needs to go to freeforums and try to debate PumpsieGreen or seabeachfred.

Although Joebreidey does post there and he may have been the most rational of all the BDC posters...

That's kind of a Catch-22. If Joe was that rational he wouldn't be debating with those guys instead of being here.

Romantacize about that Boston forum all you want. I jet packed out of that place after it started filling up with junkies on meth who got kicked out of Circus Circus that night.

That being said......I think, being a newbie here on this site, that Talksox lucked out having many of you come onboard.

Hmm.

I suppose we are grateful for that.

In any case, it has been a pretty strict rule on Talksox for over ten years that we do not speak about other baseball forums. There are several good reasons for this policy.

I am a little surprised that so much talk of the glory days somewhere else has been allowed up to now.

You all seem to know about baseball forums history better than I do. But I've dabbled before coming here.

SBF was a odd and unusual dude, some might say a wacko. But I'd give anything to hang out with the guy for just one game.

Regardless of how anyone felt about him, and their feelings were certainly justified, that man knew and knows baseball - real baseball .

If I were the Sox I would push Sale Back 1 start, so he goes against Toronto, and give him last Start (Orioles) coming out of All-Star break, he'll get a additional day off, this week, and 12 days off going into All-Star break.

Have to think about Post-Season, and stretch run. All-Star Game is so late this year they should be using this to their advantage, to rest Sale. Use the All-Star game if he goes as a BP session.
