yes - i don't want him tearing a hammy at the bowling alley.

Being a big fan of PBA Bowling, and having 2 kids who are really into bowling, I think it's awesome that Mookie bowls, and that he is good enough to compete in PBA events.

That said, I do have concerns that he could injure himself while bowling. It likely wouldn't be a hammy though. More likely it would be a shoulder or back injury.

I have actually seen hammies torn on the alley. I was kidding. I have 0 concerns about Mookie getting hurt bowling. It is another passion of his and I'm glad that he is enjoying it.

Yeah. If Bogaerts is back to form, I think he's our best leadoff option. Either him or Benitendi.

best hitter up 2nd: check.

worst of the top 5-6 hitters up 3rd: check.

second best hitter up first: check.

the Moreland placement troubles me, as it did last year.

I've always though of Bogey as a good number 2 hitter with leadoff as my second choice. Line-up studies indicate otherwise.

From what I'm reading today, expect Cora to use a lot of different line ups.

I wouldn't read anything into this one.

I'm not so sure. He kind of discounted the lefty-righty things, so we may not see many adjustments based on who we are facing.

Line-up changes will result when he goes to the bench as often as he says he wants to, but I think the main pieces will basically stay pretty much in place.

Devers hurt knee in hard slide into catcher. Reportedly day to day after being taken out of game.

Crap. These spring training games are just as dangerous as real ones.

Porcello continues with too many hits, base runners and runs. He is facing a real lineup tonight.

I thought so too but he went 5 giving up 2.

Not a bad job. He seems to be going more with change-ups than the 4 seamer which yielded many HRs last season.

Rafael Devers reportedly is day to day with a bruised knee:

Good news! (I hope.)

Devers has the potential of having a fantabulous season.

He does.

Looks like your boy Brock may start the season at 3rd.

Interesting possibility, but Swihart was inserted at 3B last night. This could be the opportunity to see what Swi has at 3B and do it against a "lesser opponent".

I wonder how much time Swihart has given to 3B defense in practice. One thing in his favor is that he doesn't have to even be average to be close to Holt's level.

That's what I saw too. Sox turned four DP's yesterday, which helped. I'm not sure how many were in the first five innings but am sure at least 2 were.

He's got my vote.
