Lets see, Sox scored 12 last night, Porcello on the mound today, sounds ripe for another shutout.

At least no one can say they should have saved some runs from last night, they needed just about every one of them.

Yup. Porcello is screwed.

The good news is, Bauer is hittable. Or at least he should be.

Then again, I called a pitcher's duel for last night's game, so what do I know? LOL

A sweep tonight would be lovely. Go Sox!!!

If Porcello can limit them to 1 HR or 2 solo shots, he will have done his job and given us a chance to win. Unfortunately, far too often this season he has given up multiple homers and multi run Homers. He has been a #4/5 at best this season-- a shadow of a Cy Young pitcher.

And 4 gimmies against the ChiSox right after. Easy peasy.

Porcello has actually been pretty damn good his last handful of starts. If the offense keeps hitting the way they are even against a good pitcher we can take this one. A sweep against the Guardians would be a fantastic feeling especially since we haven't won a series since the All Star Break I don't think.

Took 2 out of 3 from the Rangers during July 4th. Split with the Yanks and Jays right after the break.

Only sweeps so far: Pirates, at Cards (2 games), Rangers (May) and at Jays (June 30 - July 2)

This would be their most impressive series by far this year.

Beauty. Thanks I couldn't quite remember!

And although this isn't the playoffs would somewhat help the bad taste I have in my mouth from being swept last year in the playoffs by The Guardians.

NOAA says a big storm coming thru. Rainout?

The forecast I'm looking at suggests a late start but a big window where they should be able to get the game in easily. Fingers crossed.

Any word if this thing will be played?

The last I checked, it's not clearing in Boston until like 10 or 10:30. I'm in CT, and it's still raining here. It usually takes around two hours for our weather to reach Boston

I hate when they wait like this. It is very unfair to the fans. The rule of thumb had been 1 hour wait for many years and then the game was called. This is ridiculous.

I wonder if it's because the weather forecasts are presumably more accurate now. Of course Boston being perched on the ocean can still screw up forecasts.

Even if they know with precise certainty that the weather will clear at 10 pm, it is unfair and unreasonable to make fans wait for a start time that is 3 hours late.

San Francisco is on the ocean too and the forecasts there are pretty accurate.

The last game I went to Fenway, I waited 5 hours in the rain. (It was a D/N doubleheader--unknown to us, they cancelled the night game, so we waited in the rain all afternoon for the game to finally start).

I could be wrong but I think our Atlantic weather is a little more difficult to predict. 'Noreasters' and hurricanes for example are notoriously subject to changing course.

Everything is up for debate on TalkSox.

Last night's game turn the tide. We're getting hot now, I can feel it. Win. Dance. Repeat. x3

Are you dancing to Tessie?

I have no idea what you are talking about. I mean sometimes the forecasters out here are off by as much as three degrees.
