Dont blame Farrell. He couldn't help it. When Melky tied the game with the 2 run home run, Farrell's two brain cells collided with each other incapacitating him. He did not regain consciousness until after Navarro's double. He acted immediately upon regaining consciousness. He did everything that he could do.

Hey give Farrell a break! After Koji hung 3 pitches in a row, he wanted to let him hang 2 more to Lawrie and Navarro to prove it wasn't a fluke!

So the Sox are about to fall to 4 games below .500 for June?

This is not a .500 team!!!!1!1!!!

Doesn't look like it. The pitching just isn't good. Offenses are going to have their slumps and we're seeing that now. But the pitching hasn't been there all year. They have a lot of work to do with this staff in the off-season.

I guess there's more than one way to lose a ball game! Bad luck, bad relief pitching, bad base running. I guess that will do it.

First thing is Tazawa needs to move to the 8th inning role. He's been successful at it in the past. Hembree takes the 7th. Koji is 6th or earlier.

Unfortunately, Koji right now is all or nothing, and once he gives something up, he gives it up in bunches. He is no longer capable of pitching 2 days in a row and while he didn't get in the game last night, he did warm up.

This was my first at the game loss of the season. When we took the 2 run lead, I was getting cocky and was thinking that I owed it to the Res Sox to go to tomorrow afternoon's game.

This team is finding ways to lose games. This game was ours. How many did Quintana walk -- 6 or 7? He walked Leon 3 times. We scored 6 in a game pitched by Quintana. You have to win those games. But we found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. We get a guy picked off third with one out and the top of the order batting. We send another runner to his certain death when we had the starter on the ropes. Our manager sleeps through the 8th inning. Just terrible. Good teams find ways to win games. This is not a good team.

There is a point to where diminished velocity eventually kills you. He's down in the 86 range. It's just slow enough that hitters can fight it off so the hitter can sit splitter. And if the splitter isn't locating, then you sit dead red and tee off. I think he's done. When he's giving up taters, he's useless

This has been an extremely frustrating and heartbreaking series. It's the kind that keeps me awake and night and makes me want to quit baseball. Why do I put myself through this?

I disagree that this is not a good team. This is a good team that is playing poorly right now. That's not to say that we don't have any holes, but it's still a good team.

Vicious, but pretty good, I have to admit.

One of the eternal mysteries, isn't it? As I was absorbing the pain of last night's loss and 3 brutal ones in a row, it hit me - 'Oh my God, I'm already looking forward to tomorrow's game.'
