Royals ballpark is very nice with good sight lines--just an hour from Leavenworth and Fort Leavenworth, KS, and several state and federal prisons, including the Army's Disciplinary Barracks.

Tonight it's Betts, Pedroia, Bogaerts, Ortiz, Ramirez, Shaw, Bradley, Vazquez, and Holt, maybe the first time this season Farrell has gone with back to back lefty bats.

Royals are 1 game under .500 but were great last year. They are much better at home than on the road. Pitching is slightly above average for AL but their hitting thus far is sub par. Sox have a 3 game set here, then go back to Boston for 6 against Cleveland and Colorado.

KANSAS CITY -- Monday's Red Sox-Royals game at Kauffman Stadium was postponed because of rain.

The game will be rescheduled as part of a day-night doubleheader on Wednesday, with the day game at 1:15 p.m. CT and the night game at 7:15.

Big time bummer.

I'm going to change the title from "vs. Houston Astros" to "@ Kansas City Royals". It might be a bit nitpicky of me, but...

Ooops, sorry about that. :)

Good thing the game was rained out. You might have screwed us with wrong team mojo.

Definitely a bummer from our perspective.

But this team has been playing almost every day for weeks, it seems.

They can use a blow. And I do not refer to the hotel call girls. Although that would be okay with me.

The crunch will resume Wednesday when they play a day- night gig.

At least they come home afterwards.

that just means we get to score 10 tonight but 20 tomorrow.

I'm looking for JBJ to break out of his slump, 2/10 in the last two games.

Seriously though, how great has it been watching this guy. I don't want to mess with what's working, but if his streak continues he has to be moved up to give him that extra at bat each game. What's a good place for him in this order?

If I'm not mistaken, the Royals had just played a 13 inning game in which their starter did not go very deep and they burned up their pen. I think the day off benefited them more than it did the Sox. Oh well, we'll get 'em anyway.

Get it done boys!

Go Sox!

Nice, and good for you!

I'll be recording the day game and watching it when I get home from work, before the night game.

How creative of you. I like that idea.

Looks like the same lineup as last night--Betts, Pedroia, Bogaerts, Ortiz. Ramirez, Shaw, Bradley, Vazquez, and Holt. Back to back lefty bats, Shaw and Bradley, have been a rarity this season.

Off topic but the nba draft lottery's tonight. I expect the celtics to get screwed and end up with the 4th pick. I expect the lakers to win the draft lottery.

Jackie Bradley, continues looking like an All-star. I'm so glad this team didn't give up on him.

Porcello, on the other hand ...

DD needs to cook a trade for a SP before the trade deadline, otherwise we are not going anywhere in POs with this pitching staff.
