I'm not sure if I call it good pitching, we had 4-0 lead.

Can you believe what that kid wrote? I should have probably been a little more patient, he being a high school jackass, but he lives in some dream world and actually believes this team is going to recover. We all wish it would, but we all know that will not happen as long as we have dipshits like Ramirez and Sandoval gumming things up. Sorry Israel if I promised you a better day today....I actually thought we would win this time.

Bingo. I have spoken about a culture of losing many times.

This team just doe not expect to win now and it seems to be a self fulfilling emotion.

Hanley is more worried about his horrible hair than anything else. Sandoval is lost. Papi has nothing to prove. Nobody has said to Castillo that this is major league baseball. etc.

Yup, it seems that way.

I think I mentioned that culture of losing thing as well, and it sure seems we have been infected with it. It is very hard to take Spud. And I have to go to Boston next month to watch our team play the Yankees. If I could get my money back I would go for it in two shakes of a monkey's ass.

I hate when the Sox suck, it really makes gamethreads unreadable.

That's because Red Sox fans like us take it hard. Reminds me of what some Sox fans I know who told me before I came on board in 2000 that you didn't understand Red Sox fans unless you were one of them. Believe me I know now!!!!!!!!! They almost make you lose your appetite and zest for enjoying the rest of the day. One of these years, though, we will rule baseball again. We just have to believe that.

I don't understand how the Red Sox are this bad.

Nor do I. We have many of the right pieces. At least we're going to go back to the 5 man rotation. Is Kelly getting bumped out?

Seems so. Probably he will fit well in the pen.

Read what the rest of the posters have written today you slimly little s***. You're so f***in' wet behind the ears you're like a four pound pile of s*** in a one pound bag. You told people you had me on ignore---well keep me on ignore and stop pestering me with your adolescent ********. The only reason you can't follow my logic is because you're an immature high school *******. The team stinks......that understood? They stunk last year.....that understood? If you were around in 2013 you little douschebag you would have seen plenty of positive vibes from me and those of us who are tired of seeing a loser. No wonder you didn't play on your school's baseball team. Your coach would have probably run your little ass off the ball field. Now get lost and don't ever respond to any of my posts again.

Too f***ing bad, old man, I'm responding to this one. Don't you ever take a personal shot at me again. That is absolutely unnecessary and way out of line. I do have you on ignore, but if you were actually with the times and knew how to operate your computer you would know that I can still choose to see an individual post if I would like to, and I just happened to click on that one. You blew this way out of proportions. How dare you take a shot at my personality. I didn't make the baseball team because there were too many players, not because I'm too optimistic. You can never have too much optimism. I bet you're too old to remember '04. I was barely 6, but I remember those slogans of "Keep the Faith." That is what I've grown up believing. Never attack me for being too optimistic, and NEVER ATTACK ME PERSONALLY AGAIN. Just be glad that a kid has the courage to put his face up in here knowing that he's going to be constantly belittled and cyber bullied from idiots like you, not to mention all of the s*** I take in school about my stutter, being cut from the baseball team, you name it. Lay off. You need to understand someone's situation before attacking them, jackass.

All I'm going to say is, if anyone on this site does not enjoy watching the Red Sox play, don't watch them. If you do, just don't come on the site to complain about how bad the team is. It's something we're all aware of.

Yes. That was my argument when this whole brouhaha began.

I know it was, I just had to make it clear. Hopefully that was a nice way to put it without having someone bash me. Let SBF do his thing, don't pay any attention to him.

Hey Fred, newsflash for you: You are not in charge of anything here. Thunder can respond to any post he wants, including yours. You have absolutely no right to call anyone immature. You are the most immature adult I have ever encountered on a message board, and I spent a day lurking on a Brony forum. Everything Thunder said is spot on. You do nothing but whine about this team, insult every member of the Red Sox, and come up with stupid nicknames. You harp on ridiculous s***, you complain about not having players that you complained about when they were on the team, and the only time you are even remotely inoffensive is when the Sox are dozens of games over .500. Even when they win a game, you are insufferable about whatever player happened to not perform that day.

And how do you respond when a high-schooler calls you out on being obnoxiously negative? You call him names and tell him to get lost, like he's on your lawn or something.

I have news for you. This isn't your site. This isn't your lawn. The reason I haven't banned you yet is because you, Ted, UN?, and mvp go at each other so often that I'd almost have to ban all four of you. The thing is, Ted, UN?, and mvp all contribute in other ways to this site. I'm starting to think that banning you would go a long way to restoring sanity around here, and posts like this do nothing to change my mind.

Do you feel strong? Does calling a 17-year old kid on the internet a bag of s*** and making fun of him for missing the baseball team cut make you feel like a big man? You aren't. You're an idiot. I know Ted will be pissed off that I'm banning you and not UN?, but the simple fact is that those two fight all the time without completely going off the rails like you do. I should have done this years ago. Goodbye.

Challenge accepted.

Now we know that you're Barney. I think I would make a better Ted than Ted, so Ted can be Marshall.

Now that I know you watch that show, you have lost all of the points you scored with me in the last few minutes. Don't ruin it, Thunder. Don't.

Just awful base running.

Hanley is a total f***ing airhead.

I have no idea why Nap was sent.

Just not good baseball.

I watched a lot of Toronto games while Farrell managed there. Foolish base running is a Hallmark of teams managed by him. Aggressiveness is good. Stupid aggressiveness is bad. This will continue, and we will continue to lose precious runs.

I agree 100%. Terrible baserunning has been a big problem this season. I had no idea that it was the same in Toronto, I assumed it was Butterfield and the players, not Farrell.

Poor throw but Sandoval should have had it.

He is making a fool of himself today.

Fat or not, he is not very good and I do not care what stats may appear to disprove my assessment.

He blows.

This is the second game where Panda's error was responsible for a loss. How does that figure into WAR, because that should minus 2.

The sad thing about panda is that will is producing slightly better than him out in san diego for a fraction of the price.

The only 10 seconds of the game I saw was when Swihart and Panda blew that play. Glad I have better things to do with my life at the moment.

Someone please put on the BTR signal. We need mojo stat...

The only thing WMB is doing better at in SD is home runs. By two. Oh, and SLG. But the OPS's are the same and Sandoval is striking out less and walking more.

Thats true. Will's rbi's are pretty decent though. Thats the only reason I gave him the slight edge. This performance by panda shouldn't be too much of a surprise though, He had similar stats by this time last year.

If Papi could get on base, he'd have more RBI.

Knuckleballers give up homeruns. If the ball doesn't knuckle, then it becomes a very hittable ball. I think I can hit a bad knuckleball. He pitched a very good game. He just let one get away from him and unfortunately it happened men on base.

We lost this game because of bad baserunning, and errors. Those can be prevented with fundamental baseball.

The bright light in all this for me has been the day to day play of our shortstop. Everyone would like him to hit for more power. I get that but how many of us can question Bogaerts overall play at all. Don't look yet, but he is gradually becoming one of the best shortstops in baseball. Hitting close to .300 as well. An incredible turn around. Don't forget who he worked out with this winter - Pedroia
