Tommy "I suck and should in the minors" Milone

I admit it. After consecutive years of pretty decent mojo, my mojo has been terrible this year. That is about to change however, as I have been channeling my mojo for a while now and I am thus ready to unleash it in a tornado of righteous fury. Let's hammer this scrub Red Sox!

Prediction mojo: 6-2 Red Sox, that knuckler's a dancin'.

"I suck and should in the minors" should be "I suck and should be in the minors".

I have been wondering about Mauer. He used to be the generational talent and can't miss talent. He was a prolific hitter. What the hell happened to him? He does not hit for power and his average is only about .270 with a low OBP I believe.

Did he have some career altering injury or a series of injuries? Is he Rocco Baldelli?

It's a shame.

Pitcher that sucks = shutout

And he will no doubt be better than Porcello.

In fact, the Sox will loose with Porcello in the dougout. Sort of a "contact loss". So to speak.

Mauer has always been a gap hitter, never a power hitter. The move to the big new ballpark has further reduced his Homer output. He has had a slow start, but I think he has been consistently close to a .400 OBP guy throughout his career.

In Mauer's 10 full MLB yrs (not counting partial 2004 and 2015), his OBP has been under .400 only 3 times in 10 years. Last year was his lowest OBP (.361). It could be that the years of catching have caught up to him. Pardon the pun. He has had a pretty good career with a lifetime batting average of .317 and and OBP of .398. Of course, the irony of this thread title will be that Mauer will wreck us today.

Yep, the Twins signed him to a $184 million deal and built a park that would take away his home runs.

Thanks for the input.

I just remember all the talk about him being the local boy that makes good and of course will the Twins extend him.

I should look at his stats. It just seam that he is way off with output and that's a shame.

We need this series, or else we go back to where we were after Sunday: 7 games below .500. Edited by Thunder

Unless we get wrecked by Fatso being in the lineup against a LH pitcher. What is he 2 for 50 batting right handed this season? And Farrell puts him in the lineup? Let's hope your fear of Mauer wrecking us doesn't come to pass and that mine about Fato killing rallies doesn't either. We need to win this series.

So far, Steven Wright's outings have all turned out somewhere between 5-6 innings and between 2-3 runs.

I am predicting that tonight, he'll throw 6 innings with 3 runs. Crazy, I know.
