Generally enjoyable????? Are you f***ing kidding me??? Enjoyable with a 10-19 record, ensconced in dead last place and sinking faster than a rock---and you call that enjoyable. First of all that is ******** because I did lurk and see the game threads. They looked anything but "enjoyable" to me. That you can enjoy yourself when what we have is a total team train wreck makes me wonder just how little it takes to make you feel "enjoyable". And nothing I said in my post was false. If there are those who cannot accept an unpopular truth it is either time to wake up or go live in an alternate world. It isn't whining. It laying it out as it is. Our team stinks. Fact! We're in last place. Fact. Cherington has assembled a lazy, fat, uninspiring team that loafs and cannot come back from any kind of deficit. Fact. At this rate we will finish last three of the last four years. Probable Fact. And if you've read Eric Wilbur, Gary Tanquary, Dan Shaugnessy, Rob Bradford, Steve Buckley, and Kirk Minehane, they sure as hell don't sound enjoyable. They're pissed off as I am and any Red Sox fan who can see past his nose. The front office is finally being hammered by the press and media---and it might be fair to say that Prune Face and Co. have lost the support of the press. Inconvenient truths may be hard to take but they are there and must be accepted whether we like them or not. The team right now stinks like a sewer at high tide....And that is a fact!!!!!

Glad you noticed Israel and Ted. I attacked the team, he attacked me. Well until the team gets its head out of its ass I will continue to keep attacking a team that absolutely stinks right now, and goes for the front office, manager, GM and ownership. You know guys, we do have some posters here who simply cannot accept a truth they find inconvenient or unpopular with them. That's the way it is for them....They call it negativity, we call it realism. He (they) could put us on ignore but they have trouble understanding Class 101--Ignore. They'd rather make themselves miserable by reading things they don't like rather than just ignoring it so they wouldn't have to subject themselves to things that they don't like---whether what they're subjecting themselves to truth or not. Sure, I took a month off and said at the rate we were going on May 2 it would be worse in a month and not better. I wasn't hoping that but those of us who are alive and not buried with our heads in the sand could see which way the tea leaves were being read. I wish it could be different but this is 2012 and 2014 all over again unless some things are done and fast.

Maybe small increments at the start Spud. This crap about not weighing Fatso Sandoval when he signed should be junked forthwith. He has gained weight and looks like a whale out there, and he isn't hitting well either and not at all from the right side. Get a scale and put the blubber belly on it. Secondly, do NOT give Hanley a glove again. Platoon him with Ortiz at DH. Diva can't hit lefties this year and Hanley cannot play the outfield. All that money we're paying him you say just to DH? Tough s***!!!! The FO signed him knowing he was both a defensive liability and a cancer in the clubhouse, not to mention that he had a tendency to loaf. Release Disasterson BEFORE they bring him back up to try and get some pay pack for the worthless nine million they signed him for. Give Swihart the bulk of the catching duties and stop sending Leon out there every second or third day. He is a mediocrity at best and has no future in the Red Sox organization. If Fatso doesn't lose weight bench his ass until he does, keep Hanley off the field, and get rid of Cherington and Farrell. I don't give a s*** if Prune Face gave them an extension last winter......an extension for finishing dead last? Now that has to be a first for a supposed contending team expected to vie for a WS berth. That at least is a start and it must be undertaken or you will say this season is lost soon enough Spud just as announced that was over somewhere else.

Anyone really think this nightmare is going to change? We have a fatso playing third who we're paying mega bucks to who can't get out of his own way, and unlike the Giants we refuse to put Fatso Sandoval on a scale and demand that he lose some of his blubber. How about that miserable Hanley who can't play defense anywhere and has a negative WAR of 0.5 despite his 12 homers, most coming in games we've lost. The team plays without enthusiasm, loafers abound and it seems only Pedroia seems to give a s***. Benny the Boob needs to be cashiered and that goes for Farrell too. All I hear from Farrell is this or that nugget of optimism and good cheer after every damn losing game where he simply stink up the ballpark. We are reaping the whirlwind for losing Lester and Lackey and replacing them with trash like Disasterson, Smiley Miley and BORcello. This team sucks and if I could get my money back for that trip I signed up for in March I would do it in two shakes of a monkey's ass. Win this series against the Twins? Are you serious?????

Ted told me that you were on vacations Fred, Where did you go?, I'm traveling to Colombia next month for vacations as well.

 

IMO if they keep this bad, the good thing is that they are going to be in rebuild mode by July, and probably some of the things you are saying here will happen, just as some of the things that you predicted last offseason are actually happening.

Fred, I think we can turn things around this season if Rodriguez or Johnson can claim a rotation spot and pitch well and we get a legitimate top of the rotation starter. I don't think we can expect a turnaround if we stand pat.

Besides, we need a couple more people around here not trying to Pollyanna a sinking ship. The team stinks Kimmi---you can deny that until the cows come home and that it your right as a poster. And it is my right to tell it as I see it.......we're in last place, our pitching stinks, we can't hit worth s***, Hanley is more of a liability with his minus 0.5 WAR than an asset even with his 12 home runs and never should don a glove again because he is a defensive disaster. And here's a thought. How about Buchholz pitch a clean first inning for a change and not fall behind and maybe the team can give him a lead which he may finally hold, and no more kernels of optimism from Farrell after another disastrous loss. They're getting tedious coming from him game after game. And how about the press? Notice Shaughnessy, Wilbuur, Buckley, Mnihane and other really ripping into the team? It certainly isn't because they're doing well. But fine and dandy, live in your dream world where everything is just copasetic.

Just took a month off this board to get my bearings and hope against hope things would not be as dismal when I returned as they after two previous hiatuses in '12 and last year. Alas, things are worse. As hopeful as I would like to be Israel this team is going nowhere under present leadership. We have a weak and failing manager who cannot crack any kind of whip and a totally incomepetent GM who built another pig of a team and fooled me in the process.
