Right mvp----I ruined everyone's night, even my own. I do have a radical suggestion for those lunk heads in the front office which I will announce after this debacle.

You are about to tell the front office you are a Blue Jays fan now?

It's been done for you. Consider this a warning. If I banned everyone who insulted someone else, the board would be empty, but ridiculously unnecessary personal attacks are a no-no. Next time you post something like that, you get deleted along with it.

If that's your policy, then fine Youk. Personally I took it with a grain of salt. Some of the barbs coming my way have been really both hilarious and ridiculous. I got reamed last week when I started a game thread that was promised to someone else. Tonight I get reamed because I didn't start the game thread for this game? Is there some kind of rule on this board that I'm not aware of? Maybe to quiet the clamor down I should start the GT tomorrow?

Hey, guess what, the pitching is as advertised! They better start making moves before they kill the bullpen and start losing ground. Things can't get any worse? Things can ALWAYS get worse!

And how many more times does Craig get to fail until they realize it's time to cut losses and move on... I think the grounds crew have had a bigger impact on the team than him.

Shots have been fired. Popcorn in microwave.

I thought this was pile on Fred night without repercussions.

Too far??????

Fred - - - - Way to take it like a man. When ever I start and lose a game thread feel free to come with full guns blazing...

Cheers Sox fan.

Either Cherington has his thumb up his ass and is living in a fantasy world OR there are no deals for pitching out there at the present time. I think the former but I could be wrong. With that in mind and thinking of the Saturday Night Massacre of '73 that was the focal point in the undoing of President Nixon (your hero User), I think we need a Wednesday Morning Massacre to wake this team up and bring some urgency to a season that is already starting to unravel. This might be a way to do it.

1. Release Mujica.....no DFA, just release the ineffective and useless son of a bitch.

2...Send Craig down to the minors and if he doesn't want to go, release him too.

3. Bring up Rodriguez and Johnson because at least they're young and have some promise and they can't do any worse than the cruds we currently have getting their asses reamed.

4. Banish Buchholz to the bullpen...and whether he can pitch out of the pen is immaterial at this point. Just get tough with this pussy and see if he can swim against the tide now that he is not being babied anymore.

These aren't earth shaking moves but they are moves and they are needed. We have dead weight, ineffective non-contributers, and an offense that might be waking up but can score ten or more runs a game every time out with the s***** pitching we have. Put Rod and Jon into the rotation to take the places of Fuchholz and Masterson, the latter can pitch out of the pen. Would these moves be effective? I think it would be a move in the right direction from the s*** we currently find ourselves in.

The problem wasn't losing the game. He started the GT last night but didn't start this one even though he was posting. That's a grievous offense here at TalkSox.

Yea, I figured out the history. It's just he's never crossed my path, and I piled on tonight. He deserves to take free jabs at me.

Back to baseball.

What 6 era pitcher do we have starting tomorrow?

What's funny is a friend at work has been taking the over every night on a Sox game. I always get a fist bump from him in the morning.

If you noticed master mind I didn't start posting on the Game Thread until well into the game. Could it be I was not at home for a few hours from say two to five Pacific Time? HHHMMMMM???

Don't worry Fred, no one's mojo in this world can help this pitching staff :)

Are you...are you being serious? Fred, you've been a member of this site nearly as long as I have. Almost TEN YEARS. You don't know the gamethread tradition by now?

When you start a gamethread, you start the next one, and the next one, and so on, until the Sox lose. Then someone else starts.

Fred, this pitching staff is clearly your fault, not Ben's fault. All of the good pitchers were taken by the other GMs -- not Ben's fault.

:) lol!!!

Actually eight Youk, with a four year hiatus from 200u8-2012. Someone mentioned to me last year that since I made a successful thread I should start another one the next game. I didn't think much of it at the time----so, no, I really didn't know you keep it up until you lose. Either that or I had one of my senior moments. Thanks for the update.

You are worse than Fred imo. You never post, then when you do, you bitch. Then when we do good, you magically show up and act like you've been cheering the team from the start.

Fred, this isn't the first time you've done this. That's really senior.

I think TW101 is a pretty good poster, Mike. Probably his personal life doesn't allow him post more often lately. To me he is one of the most knowledgable posters in this board.

He's been that way since I've joined. I'm telling you, he only appears to bitch. Then when the Sox do good, he'll say how good the team is. Act like he's been there from the start. Which will be 90 percent of the forum. The season is still young and it seems like everyone is throwing the white flag. Yeah this team has problems, what f***ing team doesn't? If this was August, i'd understand. We're still in April. You guys know what this team is capable of if they play to their potential. Idk if you guys just started watching the Sox play now, but the Sox are a team I've seen come back from really bad situations and make the best of it. I'm sorry if this post seems like I'm bashing at you, but I'm not. It's okay to be concern, but it seems like most people are giving up on certain players.

Isn't there an exemption for those of us living on the West Coast?

The reason why we're still above .500? We haven't lost more than 2 in a row. When we get on a slide, we always find some sort of way to snap out of it before it gets out of hand. That could prove to come in handy later on.

Good post.

You have to understand that some folks with delicate psyches have to protect themselves from disappointment, by constantly bitching.

That way, when the s*** hits the fan, they're not emotionally invested.

If things do turn out well, they can then pretend that they were invested all along.

It's a win-win for the weak at heart.

^This isn't true. This is your overreaction. People are just taking note that the preseason concerns about our pitching were valid and further noting that something will need to be done about it if they want to seriously contend. The current rotation is not going to dramatically turn things around. They aren't the worst staff in the majors imo, but they are a mediocre bunch that will burn out our bullpen in a couple of months. The good news is that the entire division seems to be fighting for the bottom of the standings instead of the top of the standings.
