It's a tough choice. Hatred of New York is wrestling a desire to revel in the misery of Yankees fans. I may be rooting for KC but I don't think I'd complain too much if the Mets won.

Met fans are largely the descendants of suffering Brooklyn Dodger fans who hate the Yankees with a passion. Except for 1986, they have always been a pretty tame crew. And Yankee fans look down on them like second class citizens.

Not surprised thus far. I had the royals winning this series. Just better team overral. They put the ball in play and hardly strike out. The cubs where pathetic against the mets.

I'm a little surprised that the vaunted Mets starting pitching has not been more effective.

I think deGrom is a monster in the making.

deGrom seemed to abandon his breaking stuff last night and he didn't come inside at all.

I'm rooting for KC too, but it's really a toss up for me. I won't be upset if the Mets win.

That said, while the series is obviously not over, I can't see the Mets coming back to win this thing.

The way KC is playing in the postseason reminds me of the 2013 Sox. You never get the sense that they can't come back and win a game when they're down.

Yankees fans look down on everyone like they're second class citizens. They're Yankees fans, after all.

And Mets fans have the misfortune of sharing the same city and living with them.

Exactly. And a good reason to believe that it is their year to win it all.

And we have probably jinxed them. LOL

The Mets are not going down without a fight. At least for one game.

What the hell was Franklin Morales doing on that comebacker to the mound with first and third and one out. He swiveled to look to second then quickly turned toward home plate then he looked at third base then finally back to second base and then spiked the ball at second base. That opened the floodgate for a huge inning. It may have been the biggest defensive rock that I have seen in a world series.

Earlier in the game, Ventura didn't cover first base on a ground ball to the right side allowing another run to score. Their defense has not looked all that special.

That's two pitchers though. Shades of the 2006 World Series, maybe, where the Tigers pitchers made a bunch of errors.

Not only did I hope it would, I honestly expected it to. I didn't expect either team to be up 2-0. The Mets will still have a tough time forcing a Game 7.

I am pulling for the Mets to win tonight. That will make it a whole new series.

I like Curtis Granderson. Nice to see him having a strong season and postseason.

I have always been a David Wright fan. While I'm still pulling for the Royals, it would be nice to see Wright get a ring.

Morales said that he heard his catcher yelling to throw the ball home. Hence, the double take.

But he didn't throw the ball home, and then he looked to third. I didn't see anyone pointing to third. It was a major brain fart. Even if his catcher called for the ball, the ball was a tailor made inning ending DP. The batter wasn't even out of the box when Morales got the ball.

Nothing like a brain fart on national television in the biggest series of a player's life.

As I have said, I really don't care who wins the series. I just want to see good baseball.

It would be nice to see the Royals take it as they have been poised to do so for two years. Of course they could become the Buffalo Bills of baseball!

About the only reason I can root for the Mets is because Ted is my friend and he sort of likes them. And what he says about the Mets fans being disliked by Yankee fans and all.

Also, I have stated that I do not care for Tommy Archer because I think that he is a crooked capped punk ass bitch. But now I have seen how intelligent and articulate he has been on ESPN I kind of like him.

Even A-Roid has been doing a decent job for Fox.

I can't believe I just said that!

Any of you older Sox fans notice the similarities between this WS and the 1986 WS?

Game 1 86/15 : Mets lose by 1 run

Game 2 86/15 : Mets lose by 6 runs

Game 3 86/15 : Mets win by 6 runs

What Morales said was that he heard his catcher say to throw the ball home, but when he looked home, he didn't see the runner. He probably looked to 3rd to see how far off the bag the runner was. It was a tailor made DP, but the catcher is the guy out there directing the fielder where to throw the ball. If the catcher is yelling "home, home", then Morales is thinking he should throw home.

Everything I've heard about ARod says that he is a very good analyst. Unfortunately, I can't stand the sight or the voice of him and therefore, can't watch the guys in the studio.

Very interesting, indeed. If the Mets win tonight by 4, then you may be on to something!
